I really liked this one. The lather was slick and lasting. I would have like to have used this one for a straight razor shave. The only scent I could detect was a soap scent. This one seems very familiar to me, but I can’t put my finger on it.

 

You’re guaranteed to have fun with it.

 

I'm not sure how well I can tell what the scents are, tried already, but we'll see.

 

Got done with sample D. Wow. I liked how it performed! Slick as heck, good cushion. Scent....agh! Can't tell a thing but my wife said it was strong to her nose.

 

First round with J tonight. I had a somewhat difficult time placing the scent....cinnamon toast? I know! Brown sugar cinnamon! At least that’s the best I can come up with. The scent is quite strong and lasts. I wasn’t to sure at first, but by the third pass, I was really liking this. It produced a huge volume of lather. I can hardly wait to use this one again! I just had to finish my shave with VIBR.

Shaved with E last night. Functionally it was great. I was able to get a ton of lather quite easily. Good cushion, and it left my face feeling quite soft. I docked it a couple of points for lack of scent, as I couldn't detect one at all. I am assuming this is an unscented product. If it had a pleasant scent, it would be a probable buy for me.

I'm glad to see some of you guys posting about G. The consistency had me thinking something was amiss, and I was planning to skip it. Now I feel better about trying it.

I used it for a straight razor shave and liked the performance. It is not one I have used before.

 

Catching up here. F was my favorite yet and I will most likely be looking at a purchase (cost permitting). Scent was kind of herbal and smelled very familiar but I can't seem to place it. Sooo easy to lather, good cushion and post feel. Adding water before the 2nd pass upped the slickness considerably.

Came home from vacation and found my kit waiting for me. I will be joining from my Sunday shift.

 

I used sample H this morning. I might have used too much water for my straight razor shave, but this cream provided the slickness and cushion needed for an SR shave. This one had a medicinal scent. It wasn’t bad at all. Depending on the price, this could be one I add to my Den.

 

Finished off Sample B with another shave in the hotel. Good performance all around. I like the scent.

 

For my razors, I decided to keep it to a minimum and picked five of my favorites that have always given me great shaves. Also, as for blades, I kept it at five different ones. With one being one I haven't tried yet, but shavers seem to like, the Tree Supert SE blade. For the brushes, I will again keep it to five different ones. Two boars, two badgers and one synthetic, rotating between razors. I'll also not publish my reports, but just give an overall feeling on my SOTD's.

Forgot to add this.... I will wait approx. 15-30 minutes before using witch hazel and after shave to rate the longevity of the scent and post shave feel.

 

G has some kind of voodoo going on. The consistency was so weird that I thought something has gone wrong with it and I almost tossed it. After seeing reports from others that theirs had the same consistency I went ahead and tried it. Wow. I'm impressed. I really want to know what this one is.

I’m really curious about this one too.

 

Started with A today. I used a DE and wish I had gone with a straight. A produced a wet, slick lather that is well suited for straights. It has some menthol but not so much that I loose the feel of the blade on my skin. I will give it a second go tomorrow with a straight.

 

I used sample J this morning. It was a real nice lather. It more than met my requirements for a straight razor shave. I detected a scent, but couldn’t quite tell if it was sandalwood or almond. My wife said it was almond.
