    November 14 SOTD:

    Stirling Boar Brush
    @Vlasta Sample F
    Schick Type E3
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Barbasol Pacific Rush AS

I changed the blade out in the E3 and was rewarded with a two pass DFS, just missing the baby on two little patches on my neck. This sample cream was nice, as I got a wet, slick lather. The scent wasn't my favorite, but it worked well for this morning. I hope everyone has a great day!

    Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: GEM stainless
    Razor: GEM Pushbutton
    Brush: Surrey badger
    Lather: Soap Commander Fortitude
Post: Witch hazel, Jeeves of Hudson Street Tobacco and Bay Leaf aftershave
    WTG, touch up

Nice and comfortable shave this morning with a Tobacco Tuesday theme. Soap Commander delivered yet again and this Jeeves tobacco splash is quickly becoming a favorite. My wife even commented last week that she enjoyed the scent. That's a huge win!

In any case, the shave was smooth and comfortable and now on to tackle the day. Have a great one!

Congratulations, Brian! My sister and her family live in Boise and love it. Best of luck in getting your house ready for the market.

Congrats Brian! Idaho is a beautiful place. I hope you and your Bride will be very happy there. Will you be closer to your new grandchild there?

Tuesday morning November 14 - almost all Supply again

Shower: Supply Lost Provence Deep Body Wash (also shampoo)
    Supply Single Edge injector V 2.0 / Personna ( 3)
Semogue Owners Club cherrywood boar brush
Supply Ultra Lather Shaving Cream - Lost Provence
Supply Healing Post Shave - Lost Provence

I repeated with Supply products today, except I lathered with my boar brush instead of the Supply synthetic. I also started by trying the matching Supply shower wash. It seemed to do a decent job both as a body soap wash and a shampoo. I like the Lost Provence scent - a mix of lavender, blue sage and basil - so having it for both the shave and the preceding shower was nice.

I still haven't figured out the Supply ultra lather creams yet. They are more like a croap - softer than the original squishy tallow soap but harder than a TOBS or Proraso cream. And they come in a narrow glass jar so you have to scoop out the amount you want to use rather than brushloading in a tub until you get it right. So far, I haven't got it quite right - my finger scoop is still too stingy. I think I will start using an actual little scoop with the jars until I finally get it right.

Today's lather was okay. At least it was slick enough to protect, but it was very thin and runny compared to yesterday's lather with the tub-loaded soap. And working the inadequate load with a thirsty boar instead of a synthetic brush didn't help.

I only did a one pass shave today. I concentrated on using no pressure and enjoyed an irritation-free shave despite the runny lather. Nowhere near a BBS though; more like bottom end of DFS. But it's good enough for what I need to do today, and tomorrow will be another shave.

I wish vendors would put the soap into containers big enough to use properly.
