A nice shave this morning. It may be stockholm syndrome, but I think I am beginning to prefer SE micromatic razors over my DE ones...

Great photo Charlie. How is the Soap Destroyer working on the MdC? Bet the MdC still hangs around for a long time. ;)

At least the week is going by quickly. That is some compensation for the entirely too short weekends. Another boring great shave this morning. Everything just worked well together. Three passes followed by touch ups along my jaw line and buffing on my lower right neck caught the baby with ease. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

Thanks Clint. I get tons of MdC lather with the Soap Destroyer. I haven't made a dent in the puck, so it should be around for quite a while. :)

Beautiful set up and photo today, Clint. The OneBlade is a beautifully made razor. It appears to perform as good as it looks.

My Bride and I are headed out for a fun day today. The weekend is in sight! Have a great Wednesday.

Wednesday morning November 15 - Supply success!

Wash: Supply Deep Body Wash - Lost Provence
    Supply Single Edge injector V 2.0 / Personna ( 4 )
Supply Provision 26mm silvertip synthetic brush
Supply Ultra Lather Shaving Cream - Lost Provence
Alum and Supply Healing Post Shave - Lost Provence

I repeated yesterday's shave, except (a) I used the synthetic brush instead of my Semogue SOC boar, and (b) I used a sample scoop spoon to load the croap-like cream from the jar. What looks like a reasonable amount of product when I am scraping it with a sample spoon turns out to be about four times as much as I think is reasonable when scooping with my fingernail. And that was just about right. My lather from this cream finally matched what I can get by tub-loading the earlier Supply soap.

I had a good creamy lather that was sufficient for three passes even though all of the cream didn't get used. Which highlights the final change I need to make when using this cream -- I smeared it in the bottom of the rather smooth horn quaich I usually use as a lather bowl, but some soap fragments just broke free and swirled in the lather without ever being absorbed. In future, I will switch over to my suribachi bowl for this cream. (Supply actually offers a rough-textured marble shaving bowl as one of its products.)

(I can lather TOBS creams just fine in the horn quaich, but I probably should use the suribachi bowl when doing @Vlasta's cream sample challenge too, just to ensure all the creams get loaded equally.)

With good lather, I went all out on the shave today and did a full three passes instead of my normal two. The baby not only showed up, he brought his entire toybox with him so he could stay awhile. The alum was warm in a couple places on my chin and jaw where I overdid the passes, but the Supply balm quietened it all down again.

Overall I am extremely pleased not only with my new V 2.0 injector's performance (and its neat matte black finish) but also with the knowledge that I can finally get good lather out of this particular cream, despite the fact that it comes packed in wretchedly small-diameter jars.

Now I just need to get good lather from this cream while using my Semogue SOC boar brush...

My MdC is the same way. It just seems to last and last. I will admit event though it feels like cheating, the OneBlade consistently gives me some of my best shaves. If I had to keep just one razor it would likely be the OneBlade.

I hope you have a great day with your wife.

    Razorock Plissoft Brush
    @Vlasta Sample G
    Gillette Old Type
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Clubman VI Bay Rum

A nice shave this morning. This cream as part of the @Vlasta blind challenge is very interesting. The scent is probably the best of the scents so far, in my opinion. A lemon scent with a touch of lavender to my nose. It was very runny, which was odd but whipped up a nice lather. It was slick with enough cushion. The OT did a great job and I got a DFS. I hope everyone has a great day!

    Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick G1
    Brush: Surrey badger
    Lather: Reef Point Classic Barbershop
Post: Witch hazel, Reef Point Classic Barbershop aftershave
    WTG, touch up

Excellent shave this morning with the Reef Point Classic Barbershop set. The Schick G1 injector is my home base razor. It's the stranded on a desert island razor for me. Exceptional smoothness and comfort. All around top notch shave with this combination.

I know some of the crew here has used Reef Point as well. I've spotted a few scents on BST sites. Anyone used Aviator before?

    Have a great day!

Thank you Jim. Unfortunately the Nuavia does not seem to have nearly the longevity of MdC. With 40 shaves and two samples removed on the Rossa, I can see that it well down in the container. With 50 shaves on my original scent MdC it is just below the lip of the container. I would replace Rossa in a minute if they sold refills. If refills are not available, I will likely pick up on of his Pure2O scents and give them a try.
