Here's my attempt at trying to draw it out for you. Does this help? (Please don't ask me to enhance the nude. ;) )

Hadn't used the 26c for quite some time and I remember why now. It's just to mild for me. Nicely built and works well, just not for me. Added an extra pass and more touch up than I wanted but the end results were ok. Now go enjoy your day folks

    RazoRock MJ-90 (S plate)
    Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless (2)
    DR Jon's Hydra :sick013:
    Stirling 24mm Synthetic
    Homemade Lime AS

Last night I finally finished up the sample of Dr Jon's hydra that Guy @ram57 sent me over a year ago! Also second shave with the MJ-90 using the standard base plate and I have to say, I am not in love with it. I really feel that this razor and others like it (DE89/R89 and Merkur and their various clones) are really designed to compensate for a heavy handed newbie (I kinda felt this way the last time I used my Merkur 34C too, though it wasn't quite as apparent to me then). Using a feather light touch with this razor and it seems like the geometry just doesn't allow the blade to fully engage with the skin. I did four passes last night including a full on ATG pass (which I usually don't do or need) and I was still left with a low grade DFS at best. Leaving well enough alone I finished up with a splash of my homemade lime AS. Next shave I will switch out to the [A]ggressive base plate and see if that makes any kind of difference. Have a great day my friends!

    Razor: Personna Flexhead
    Blade: Gillette Twinjector (1)
    Pre Shave: Homemade
    Lather: Gillette Foamy
    AS: Brut Splash On

I have had some time consuming medical applications to achieve each morning. New Doc different protocol, so I`m back in business. Back to my most efficient system ( flexhead and twinjector). A 2 pass, WTH/ATG, with clean ups between passes, resulting in better than BBS, so.... Happy camper. I ordered a Focus Dynamic (alum.) But the aluminum ones won`t be ready until Jan. Thinking about the black handle, but I still want the alum. matt finish. Am I being childish, or should I order the back handle, which is $6 cheaper, and I can get it for Christmas. I`ll have to mull it over in this so called mind. God Bless.

    Bill
P.S. Does the color of the handle really matter?

Good laugh for the morning Joseph! Over the weekend a friend down in North San Diego County picked up a toggle at an estate sale for $120. He is a vet and the daughter who held the sale stated her dad was a vet so sold it at a discount. Happy hunting!
