Set the slim to 7 and got an exceptional BBS shave, but did encounter a little sting from the alum. Some irritation. Anyway, enjoy your night!

A great 2 pass shave and nothing else. Love the Cobra & Feather Super combo. Good blade feel yet still comfortable and smooth on both passes. Pulled out the Classic Aqua Velva because I wanted a little "Old School" throwback finish. Why? Because we're men and we can..... Plus, I'm one of the lucky few in that the Misses likes this scent. Great pic! But I must ask. How has the Grooming Dept. soap with the tallow & duck base perform? How about scent and strength?

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Stirling Soap Pharaoh's Dreamsicle Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #241 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gillette Super 84 adjustable razor with a Gillette Silver Blue blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pharaoh's Dreamsicle AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Grooming Dept right now is my favorite artisan soap maker right now. Credence is Lemon and Violet and I had never smelt violet B4 so no idea what to expect scent wise but the Duck and tallow is super slick. Scent wise for me is around 7.5 and the citrus aroma is prominent and violet is in the background. His Mallard which is all duck fat is even slicker.

 

That's a pretty good number for scent strength. I prefer stronger scented soaps. Slick, that's music to my ears. Your mini view was horrible! Now I have to get in on this Grooming Dept. stuff. I thought I had my SAD in check... NOT!
