Thanks for the suggestions. I will add some of the ones I haven't tried to my list. MdC is my favorite shaving soap. I have enough of it to last for years.

 

Congrats. That is quite a haul. Until you see the Chubby 2 Synthetic in person you can't really appreciate the density of the knot. Don't be afraid to push on it hard to get it splay. The knot does loosen up some with us. Also splaying becomes easier with soap loaded from the tub.

 

I have had weekends like that, and ended up on drugs for weeks.

 

Right now I have days that I could use some good drugs friend.

 

It is a fantastic aftershave. As good of a skin care as any I know of, and the scent is perfect for the workplace, because it is just clean/fresh and fades very quickly.

So, what does my mind decide to do on a day off? Soooooo many choices. But today - it's time to break down my five pound block of African Organic Black Soap. Here's the block with a bar of Stirling Pre-Shave soap on top for size comparison.



Step one - cut into planks



Step two - Cut planks into bars



Then wrap each in plastic wrap and store in a big plastic ziplock bag. That's 21 bars of soap that should last at least 18 months. When it comes to bath soap, I'm set.

Now, don't tell me I don't have an exciting life when I get to do stuff like THAT!!

No I have not tried Tabac at all. It seems that most people love the performance while they are split on the scent. Love or Hate.
