I went to a shoot yesterday. It's a fun event. Your entry fee is $3.00 for targets and a pie. (everyone goes home with someone else's pie at the end.) I was shooting poorly, which wasn't surprising given that I an recovering from an eye infection. (The result being that I have had very little practice in the last 2 weeks.) The guy next to me is an expert-level shooter, who was also having an off-day. Anyone can have them. So we spent as much time as possible trying to make each other laugh.

 

Up and on.

 

We got new phones and switched providers today. That took a good part of the afternoon, but we’re happy with it.

 

Today is a great day!

Last week I completed my pre-employment heavy equipment technician program with a 90% overall mark! That allowed me to write the first year apprenticeship exam (despite not being an apprentice). I got the marks back from that and I aced it with an 85%! 70 is needed to pass, so I did really well.

I also met with a large machinery distributor and had a great talk with the recruiter. I'll be sending a follow up email to them tomorrow with my resume and exam mark...in hopes of getting signed on somewhere with their company!

I'm still broke and in a crap load of debt from no real work for the last few years...but things keep looking up!

(I am so happy to finally report some good news )
