I was having this conversation earlier. I love some root beer. Even bad root beer is good. Over the years it always seemed like root beer was a "love it" or "hate it" thing for most people, and it seemed it was disliked more than liked.
As a general rule, I like my Root Beer sans the root, but if I do drink one, I like the good quality ones like Henry Weinhard's.
I liked both Old Fashioned Root Beer and Cream Soda back when I used to drink Soda. Been years since I had any though.
Since we don't have root beer here in Denmark, i read some reviwews of it made by danes. Liquid gum or toothpaste is what most of them described the taste like... No thanks.
If you guys have liquid gum or toothpaste that taste as good as Root Beer, you are geniuses!!! :happy102 By all means you need to taste it for yourself.
Do you have other controversial soft drinks in Denmark, such as a fermented fish flavored soda, or Dr. Pepper?
I didn't get the fermented fish part. Then i realised that you think we eat that crap. You'll have to go to Iceland, Egypt or Asia to make fun of people eating rotten fish... They might have some root beer at 7/11. I'll look for it next time i'm getting a Dr.Pepper
I like root beer now and then. On road trips I always look for local beers or sodas to try. I know most japanese hate rootbeer because it tastes like medicine they are given as children.
I like high quality glass bottled root beer. Dr. Pepper is good stuff. My local meat market carries the stuff from the factory that is still made with real imperial sugar. That is REALLY good DR. Pepper.
I like ICB Root Beer, their Cream Soda is great too We have an old A&W Root Beer shop up in the mountains we go to sometimes... ..it always tastes great and they make some great floats too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmRObWSyFnE
