A Barbasol shave this morning, as I am having to pack for a trip to California. I intend to keep my TOVember, so I had to get a little creative. This cream works well, and the razor is aggressive. My toddler is hitting the terrible twos, and we have not done a great job of keeping her nails cut. The result is lots of little scratches on my face. I have done a decent job of avoiding these the past few days, but the Barbasol found them all. Some of those spots had some fairly dark blood, and I was glad no one in the locker room was around at that moment. The cold water and some extra time with the styptic pencil got them to close up. I did get a DFS closeness out of the shave. I have a meeting with some corporate dignitaries that will be at the refinery tomorrow as well, so I'll have to be careful. I hope everyone has a great day!

    Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick M adjustable injector
    Brush: Vulfix badger
    Lather: C.O. Bigelow shave cream
Post: Witch hazel, Barbasol Pacific Rush aftershave
    WTG, touch up

Quite enjoyable shave this morning. The Bigelow cream is simple and straightforward but works really well. Schick adjustable on setting 7 provided a nice and smooth experience. All around good way to begin the work week.

@clint64 - hope you feel better! Have a great day everyone!

I am off-focus for the last few shaves of the month. Ended up getting some fairly severe irritation on Thursday, starting on my neck, and as a result I've only shaved once since. Many of you will remember that I had a problem with this at the beginning of summer. Did have a nice shave Saturday, though.
I was focussing on gear that I had used before, but decided to just go with different set ups for the past few days of the month. Grabbed the Jack Frost for 'Menthol Monday'. Whipped up a great lather with the Tuxedo, had way more than enough for 3 and a 1/2 passes. Chased the baby a bit with the extra 1/2 pass and caught it. Finished with the fantastic Unconditional Surrender and all is good.
    Have a great day all!

Neal, I am deeply relieved to hear that you escaped unscathed from your latest reckless and dangerous shaving experiment, especially since I egged you on and would have felt responsible if you had cut yourself up while using that appalling blade in that horribly manufactured experimental razor while trying to lather that prototype soap from such an unknown and dubious would-be artisan... Whew! That was a narrow escape. (Both for you shaving and for me writing that run-on sentence...)

Please don't feel obligated to follow through on my challenge and undergo those risks a third time! Unless, of course, you have some appropriate medication to take first to steady your nerves. I believe some of the best is made in Kentucky...

I'm glad to see Lou-ISSSS-ville win. (Course yo know, I pronounce it Lou-EEE-ville, but the majority call it Lou-AHHH-ville, right?)

Jason, good photo and writeup about some great gear. The Edwin Jagger razors are solid, handsome-looking pieces and the brush is first-class, of course. I have never tried Sudsy Soapery soap. How does it compare to others?

Would they scorn on me if I visited and told someone "Gee, LouEEEville is a nice place"?
