    Excellent photo, Charlie!
Fantastic photo, Clint! Im glad you had a great shave but sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I hope you start to feel better soon.
Love the BFH, Jim! I hope the scratches fade quickly. My forearms look like they got into a fight with a feral cat from Logan's finger nails.
    Fantastic composition, Mark!
    Great photo, Perry!
    Awesome shot, Brian!
Very nice Jason, its always nice to have that super close shave!

Oh, in other shaving related news, for some unexplainable reason I reached for a Semogue boar brush yesterday. I'm typically not a boar fan. Not all all. However, the shave was excellent and I had to repeat it again today. I shaved side by side with the above two soaps using one Semogue and one Stirling boar to lather them. I enjoyed the Semogue again, but the Stirling seemed a bit course and scratchy to me. I'd tried the cold water break in followed by a ton of hand lathering, and I'm wondering if it just isn't totally broken in and will get better, or if this is just a coarse scratchy brush that doesn't soften up like the used, well worn Semogues I'm used to. Boar lovers, feel free to chime in here...

Oh... in somewhat related news it is a really comfy handle to bowl lather with.

    Merkur 34C
    Astra SS (3)
    Stirling 24MM Synthetic
    Stirling MITA

Another great shave out of this combo. The 34C has just enough efficiency to get with job done without any sort of blade feel. The Astra SS is doing a decent job but I feel it doesn't cut as close as it's platinum coated brother or its Russian cousin the GSB. I'm continuing to use Stirling MITA every other shave in effort to use up this sample. With 4 shaves in the soap in the middle of the container is starting to look a little translucent and the green of the tub can be seen. Super gooping using my bigger brushes is really working to use up this soap at an expeditious pace and I don't feel bad about it one bit! Have a great day my friends!

You have really gotten SOC boar working for you. Do you think loading more with the Soap Destroyer changed the way you load the SOC boar?

Thank you Andrew. I am feeling a little better. I have residual abdominal pain of around a 4 out of 10 on a daily basis due to a series of surgeries. I have learned to just ignore that as best as possible. However, there are days like today that it bumps up above that level for no reason that I can determine. I am hopeful that it will be back to the usual levels or lower by tomorrow.

I thought the blade on the bolt looked dangerous. This just looks like a bad idea. I can think of several ways it could go bad in a hurry. As in bloody bad - and not the colloquial British "bloody" either. Given all the risks and possible ways to hurt myself with this..........................................

Don't most ice cream shops employ this same tactic? ;)

Thank you, Andrew! Little kid nails are like puppy teeth: razor sharp and can draw blood with no warning.

It can even work with non-food products. "Lay down on this bed just because it's the most comfortable we have - then we'll find you the right bed". 30 minutes later, after moving to a less expensive bed and them realizing it sucks........so would you like new pillows with that bed you're about to spend $6299 on? Yes? I thought so. ;)

Great picture Andrew. Heaving loading big brushes eats soap up. That has been my secret in using my soap inventory. Another benefit is I always seem to have great lather for shaving. :D

If you were accusing me of handing out free shaving gear I'd have to plead guilty, Jim. But free ice cream? What am I nuts? It's like handing out free money to see if people might like it. Completely unnecessary.

There is a frozen yogurt shop a few doors down from my store and the will walk along with you by all of the machines to offer free samples. We're talking a tiny spoon that just gives you a taste of what you'd like to try. I'm sure they sell a lot more by doing that and it can't cost them anything as little as they use. But yeah, when it comes to any kind of ice cream or frozen yogurt I don't need no stinking samples! Give me the Reese's or Fudge Brownie and load up the chocolate brownies and crushed Reee's on top. You can keep the sample spoon.
