  9. This skinny old lady with no tail joined the den today. Not sure of her age but guessing late 1700s/early 1800s. Very enjoyable shave but I needed to spend extra time on the touch-ups. Pretty darn good for something over 200 years old. :happy036:

I’ve been wanting to find a nice late 1700s razor from the Revolutionary War period or early colonial days and, despite it’s unknown origin and dating, temptation got the better of me. :happy088:

  10. Very cool old razor.
  11. I’m assuming that it’s a wedgie? We all get a stubtail and you just have to “one-up-us”. and get one with no tail :D So.......what do you do with you fingers????

  14. Yes, a wedge. It’s from French eBay and the tailless thing is more of a problem when stropping. Without a tail tucked inside the scales move around more. Shaving without the tail is not as much of a change as I’d have thought. You just have to put a little more pressure between your middle and ring finger to hold it steady. :happy088:

Still on the lookout for a better condition one that can be dated more definitively to late 1700s. :D
