Today I took the beast of Sheffield to my face! It is my new Wade and Butcher, 13/16ths near wedge razor, beautifully restored by Dean, who is
@alpla444 on the forum. I'm sorry, the picture does it no justice. When I first picked this up, I thought that there would be no way I could shave with it; it felt incredibly heavy and cumbersome compared to my usual straight which is a 5/8ths or 10/16ths, it's funny how the latter sounds much bigger.
Three gentle passes with no irritation at all! Seriously no alum block sting at all. I didn't even know that was possible. I think the weight really helped with the shave. Flipping awesome!
BTW: it's sat on a Weishi box. Oh, the shame of it!
Glad you like it, and that it shaves well for you, thats the SG20k hone I used for finishing all those for you, the previous razors you have had from me where finished on the Charnley Forest.
