    Razor: Etched Schick E2 Injector
    Blade: Chick (1)
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Cream: KMF fragrance-free
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

Wednesday's shave was with the second of the two special Injectors I recently purchased- an E2. A number of people talk about the aggressiveness of the E2 although I find my other one to be one of my favorite Injectors. My impression of this one is that, if anything, it might even be slightly nicer. (My other one is the version that can be opened and I almost wonder if its spring could stand to be tightened slightly.)

The baby arrived but there were complications in the delivery. First, I managed to reopen Tuesday's weeper. Worse, when I was moving the razor into "blade sniffing" position, I brought the edge of the blade down on one of the lobes of my nose. It has definitely not been my week for issue-free shaves. Still, its all technique fail and nothing to do with a wonderful razor.

    Great looking razor Keith.

The never ending stick of Arko continues to deliver the goods.

Great looking razor Neal. I too find Kai AC blades smoother. However, I have used Feather blades in DE, AC and even SE that I have gotten used to their quirks.

    Great photo and recap Jason.

Sounds like the E2 was a winner.

I believe this brush and soap were meant to be used together. The combo is a face just a face lathering dream. I am sticking with the 3 pass routine of XTG, ATG and XTG followed by touch ups on my jawline and lower neck. This has proven to be the ticket on delivering quality shaves with this razor/blade combo. The results were another boringly automatic near perfect shave.

    Nuàvia November 2017 Recap

I have really enjoyed using the Nuàvia Rossa and Blu this month. Both are excellent soaps that are easy to lather. However, they really excel in scent and presentation. Given the expense of the soap with the container I am not sure I will replace the soaps unless a refill is offered. During the month, I primarily used SE razors, the brass General and OneBlade Genesis. I find that I generally get better shaves with SE razors. The General is fantastic razor and even more so given its price. The OneBlade is rapidly becoming my favorite razor providing consistently great shaves. I did pull out a couple of seldom used DE razors as well. The ATT Calypso R1 is an efficient razor but not as smooth as some of my other DE razors. However I do enjoy using the razor. The Merkur 34c HD on the other hand is a very smooth but inefficient razor. I can see now why I didn't use it almost 2 years.

The best part of the month has been following along as the 30DC goes through the month with a humor sharing our ups and downs. Thanks again for the opportunity to tag along. See you guys next month.

    Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Schick L5 'Revere' injector
    Brush: JR #41 badger
    Lather: Stirling Piacenza
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Piacenza aftershave
    WTG, touch up

Fast month! Great shave this morning with the Revere injector. This is a fun razor, mild but quite effective. It just looks cool.

I didn't have much of a focus this month. Not sure what I'll do in December either, but I'll be around regardless.

    Have a great day!

I’ve come to the conclusion that straight razor shaving is the only way for me. While I got a very nice BBS this morning, the after shave was very noisy on my neck. It’s just not as satisfying as using a safety razor.

Oh no! The dark side pulled you in completely!
What are those plastic Kent things in the mug for?? Should I have one of those for my brushes? :D

Rossa is my favorite of the two. Total shaves with the Rossa are double those of the Blu

Great photo Mark. I need to load a Feather in my Genesis for a fresh comparison to the modified Gem.

    Love the photo Charlie.

Great photo Perry. The Revere is a very cool looking razor.

Great lineup and photo Brian. You pulled all the shiny stuff out for this one.
