Awesome photo Jim! I plan on pulling out my X3 later this month. It really is a razor that I should use more often.

Beautiful brush, Clint. Isn’t there a bay rum that has a wicker covered bottle like your backdrop as well?
Good luck with your show today, Perry. It is never easy with sick kids of your own as well.
Another nice combo, Brian. Just how much stuff did you NOT pack, anyway?

Thank you, Clint. I’m happy with how the brush turned out. The big Omega pro knot is a star as well. I see now why people speak so highly of them. I picked up another one on Black Friday.

The brush whipped up am amazing lather very quickly. Nice splay.

The D3 was the first adjustable I bought when I set out to collect all adjustables from 1958. It was meticulously restored by CAP/RazorPlate and has a nice shiny rhodium finish. This is actually the first time it has been used since it came back.

    Great shave.[IMG]

Last night I had my second shave with the FSM prototype and it was much much closer then the first. I gave it a little bit more of an aggressive angle and it reduced my stubble to nothing! After 3 passes the baby was in the house and there was no sting from the AS. Hope everyone is having a great day!

The Bay Rum is St. John’s and it’s wonderful stuff.[IMG]
I have two straights, a Mongoose and my EJ DE89, two brushes, and lots of soaps and aftershaves that haven’t been packed yet. I’ll be ok

Another iconic handle, and with a one-of-a-kind razor as well. Great stuff, Andrew!

Thank you, Jason. I really love that brush, and shaving with a razor that should probably be in a museum (wait it was, Ha!) is just really cool.

Thank you Gentlemen. Jason, I see that @mrchick answered your questions on the Bay Rum. On his recommendation, I have some on my Christmas list but I think I might be out of luck. It appears the girls are moving away from shaving stuff for my gifts. I am holding out hope for Father's Day. :)

Great photo Andrew. The prototype is one cool looking razor.

The Fatboy looks fantastic. Did you have it replated?

Yes sir. CAP did his thing and RazorPlate did the rhodium. They did a spectacular job. Highly, highly recommend that team to handle restorations.

It is delicious. There is one note in there that grabs my attention all day long. It is in the Top 3 of Stirling scents.

Ignore my reach-in template. I'm in the middle of a kitchen design :)

I know I've probably mentioned it before here but that scent matches with the "real" Ozarks in an eerily accurate way. When I worked in Silver Dollar City back in my food management days that scent was very common. Also in other areas in them thar parts. Not sure what's involved or how they made it so accurate but man does it take me back to some sights and experiences.

Very nice Andrew! It's gotta make you feel good to shave with a prototype. Awesome brush as well!

Let's just hope nobody ever captures the scent of Decatur, IL and bottles it. It's enough that I won't forget, I don't want to relive it. ;)
