Thank you, Andrew! It is really a nice razor, and I am the same as you: I don't use it enough.

So sorry for your loss. I am now at the age where the funerals are starting to outnumber the weddings or baptisms and it is never easy. I will join Andrew, Clint and Steve in praying for you and yours.

+1. Some days just aren't meant for decadence. Hang in there @sdguero. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thanks! I'd like to say that there's only two ingredients, soap and water - how hard could it be? In the case of Williams, VERY. Thankfully, Tabac not only lathers easy, but can get slick!

    Scent? 100% retirement home! :D
I like it though. So does my wife!

You could get yourself into trouble making statements like that! ;)

I'll keep playing with the water and see what happens.

It will take a ton of water if you want it to, Bruce. For kicks and giggles, try a test lather where you do try to break it past its point using your same technique. You’ll be surprised at how much water it will take to break it.
I don’t have any suggestions for the scent, though...

I was surprised how much it did take. I do plan to play around and see what I can get away with. It truly is a good soap - once you give it what it wants.

Thanks, Jim. 3 shaves in, and the only question seems to be who I will get it replated by...:eatdrink047:

...but his face. You nailed the 4-1/2 - 5. Is that Jethro Bodine?

I keep pushing mine to the back of the soap stash. It's good, though the scent (Peaceful Patchouli) could be stronger. An Inspired Shave will happen soon ;)

Photo ala Chris @Bama Samurai style. Sometimes less is more. Had great luck finding Vintage OS AS as I now have three (or four?) bottles.
I'm trying to avoid cold meds during the day as they seem to make the ick last longer. While todays high temp predicted at 75°F, tomorrow ranges 39° - 54°F. I'll stock up on vitamin C today.

Glad to hear it. It's a great soap if the scent agrees with you. I'm even thinking about getting the AS! I don't mind smelling like my grandmothers purse. The scent reminds me of Certs which have been around since 1956.

Just so you know Jason the MonoBilts were originally chrome plated, in case you want to keep it original. Though it might be pretty cool to see one done in a Delta Echo color scheme.

I love the look of the Delta Echo replates and will probably get one of my Gillettes done at some point, but I’m leaning to a more classic look for this beaut. It shaves fantastically and, obviously, I knew about the plating loss before getting it. Thanks again, Andrew.

Thanks, Jim! My wife says they've been taking it easy today but he's held down everything he's had so far today. Fingers crossed!

@sdguero - please accept my condolences for your loss.
