Todays shave I went back to the PAL I got over at TOST in a PIF. I changed the blade out to a "Chick" Schick blade and got much better results. I did a two pass smooth shave that left with a DFS. I believe that if I would have done the third pass I may have got to BBS but alas we may never know. It is surprising how this razor can be so different with a different blade.

Thank you Jim. I found Teddy at a local shop with George Washington. Their plastic heads have not aged well in my opinion.

I LOVE MY SCHICK 66!!!! Pair it with a Vintage 1974 Plus Platinum and you get BBS!!! the Sudsy Soapery post shave gave me the DOLPHIN SMOOTH FINISH we all strive for. It's just TOO Darn easy with these ol injectors - does it take the fun out of shaving? No way - just means you can have a beer or 2 before (night) shaving - SE party time :bounce017::hooray::happy108::happy093:

I continued with the Vintage theme after initial shaves with the Sabre V1. Compared with the Sabre the "Streamline " is perhaps a bit of a handful as it is quite aggressive and needs careful handling during a Shave. I am fortunate as most of my early regular SE Shaves were with one so I am quite used to it. Whilst one can get a good Shave with a Sabre with comparative ease, there is something very satisfying in getting an ultra close all round shave with the "Streamline". Today, I attained one of those great Shaves as a reward for my care and concentration.

    Williams Wednesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot Shower
Brush: 24mm Silvertip Frank Shaving (FS)
    Soap: Williams/Arko (homemade stick)
Razor: The General(Black Al.) w/ SS Handle, Colonial Razors
    Blade: Kai Pink (1)
Post-Shave: Cold Water rinse, OSMA Alum block and Tai Winds Aftershave, Avon, Big Whistle Decanter

For Williams Wednesday I went with the only Williams I have in a stick, a 50/50 Arko/Williams stick. It produced such a lather that my brush looked like a wild rabbited badger.(HAHA  ) I put a fresh Pink blade in the General and did a 2.5 pass shave. The 0.5 part was a third pass on my neck. This left me with a delightful BBS shave. Finished off with the Avon Tai Winds AS and I am now ready for the day. Well that and a third cup of coffee will do wonders.

Fred's is a discount pharmacy in my area. Similar to a Family Dollar or Dollar General but much bigger and with more selection.

Back to the SCHICK 66 and Plus Platinum (vintage 1974) blade on the 4th shave.
This is a great shaver and pair it with the amazing vintage Injector blades from the disco era or Reagnomics era and you get the best shaves.

Awesome shave. The scots pine uses the same Sheep fat like "electric sheep"? If so - i find the stirling sheep fat to be the slickest and richest soap they have - wierd how mutton tallow is slicker than beef tallow - guess the Sheeps are a fattier animal..... Have a great Hump day Perry - peace - jamie

Thanks, Jamie! I believe Electric Sheep and Scots Pine Sheep are the same base with the mutton tallow. It's terrific soap!
