Thanks, Clint. Family approval is always nice. Maybe my next strategy will be to wear some Veg so that SWMBO appreciates Stirling Gentleman a little more...

Thank you. I thought about the finisher last night and I can get to it easily. Might be time for a touch up this weekend.

That might work. Maybe she won't destroy your shave den in a Veg induced fog. ;)

Bowl lathering is for sissies and is not practiced by skilled wet shavers. It just an unnecessary extra step and wastes time. (This should be good for another 50 posts today :p.)

Last time I checked, bowls were made for something far more important. (@RyX this one is Jethro.)

    On the bowl:
You're joking, right? On the off chance you aren't (which I highly doubt;))- I made it. Made it to match the 30DC handles. PIF'ed one to Brian, and have made a few others for 30DCers.
    On the soap:
I agree about the Russe (so far) but I'd encourage you to try some of the Reserve base soaps and matching AS's. The Reserve Cool and Spice are phenomenal. I also really enjoy the Seville, in the Glissant base.

If you soak your beans, then you really don't even need to wear your dentures. And to save even more time, you can soak your dentures in the sink with your dirty pots and pans.

30DC dinner tomorrow night at my house. We're havin' beans! Come as you are. It will be a gas!

I was toying with the idea of brush classifications by size:

    Carrier Class: >=34mm
    Battle Class(or Cruiser class): 30mm - 33mm
    Destroyer Class: 27mm - 29mm
    Frigate Class 24mm-26mm
    Corvette Class: <24mm

You guys are killing me today. I just had to explain to a coworker why I am laughing in my office. Trying to explain hatred of blooming, which is not related to bloomers or blooming oneself, how to properly bait people with the term bloom, lathering in a bowl, or just in general, scrapbooking paper, The Veg, Cat Urine, and aggressive gift giving strategies isn't something that translates well off the group.

Pictures are fantastic as always. Some awesome photos and gear. Glad to see the Jeeves getting so much love. Performance is much better than the Dirty Deeds stuff I sent out a few months ago. One trivia fact I like about this soap, he is the only soap maker I know of who renders his own tallow to start his batches of soap making. That's part of where the slickness comes from.

Ah, a new excuse to buy brushes: "I need it to complete my Task Force. I'm still a couple Frigates and a Cruiser short..."

Most of the scrap bookers here in my neck of the woods need a shave every day. I thought it was the perfect combo. ;)

Your photos with the scrapbooking paper are fantastic. I was just bugging you about your 'What the purpose of a bowl is' post.
PS- most scrapbookers I know are female. If you say most of the scrapbookers in your area need a daily shave, that is a worrisome combo...

I make a motion that we adopt these brush descriptions, along with the aforementioned term "rouse," as it relates to blooming soaps.

Thanks Jason! I appreciate the kind words. It's all in good fun. I knew I was opening myself up for jokes when I mentioned the scrap booking thing. I've gotta find some other fun stuff for backgrounds since I'll be using this set up for another couple of months. My Russian blade evaluation has been extended now that I've discovered I can get seven shaves from a DE blade.

Jethrine Bodine hails from Tennessee, which is not too far from Kentucky. Need I say more?

Actually, the closest I ever get to scrap booking is when I do crafts with kids. I love it when a kid looks at what I've drawn, laughs, and then "fixes" my drawing for me.

I hope you have a great day, my friend. I have enjoyed seeing your photos, as you always capture the vintage vibe. I wonder if that lovely shave bowl would hold a full serving of cornflakes. :signs002:

I though it was "Souse". And I don't think I can second a motion to ratify a classification system that I coined.
