Do you bloom your butter for the popcorn? I’ve heard that it makes for better taste due to slowly releasing that sweet aroma from the butter. :D

Oh yeah...almost forgot...I shaved today. It’s easy to overlook that on a shaving forum, ya know?

Mitchell’s Wool Fat, JR113, Shick Revere injector razor.

I did treat the Schick to a new blade. I don’t know how many shaves were on the last one, however I’m sure it was due.

Three passes - nice and smooth. I wouldn’t say the baby came to visit, but he was heading my way. Good enough for government work!

Maintaining my Focus of having Luxe lather with a big Thank You! to Adam @Drygulch for the big fat sample of Jeeves soap. Spent half the day away from the house - 12 hours - so I missed the USPS carrier when he delivered. When I spotted the package amongst the junk mail I had no choice but to dive into the Bay Rum. Found an appropriate sized container for the generous slab of soap and transferred it before trying to load my boar brush. When I rinsed the soap off my finger I knew this formula has The Slick. The puck is slighlyy soft and fit the Rubbermaid container just right leaving 1/2 an inch to load. I didn't souse the soap as croaps are already prehydrated. Into the textured bowl for more water and quality control - easy lathering and quite thirsty. Just the way I like it.
Not being a fan of heavy clove scented Bay Rums this product is acceptable to my nose. My face and The Bunny had a good time, too. Three passes with a fresh Chick installed, a little clean up under the jawline, and I'm pleased with the quality of Jeeves. It's slick, which may be the Glide some folks claim. Important to me is Residual slickness. It's in there. After rinsing I swiped with an alum block. Found a couple hot spots that I lay at the feet of my Technique. Tom's @twhite The Bunny has teeth and demands attention & respect even when using the NOTSO comb. In keeping with the scent selection I dug out a bottle of Krampert's Finest. A generous handful had me thinking of that chewing gum from my childhood. A second dose happened anyway.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

I love mine. I thought it was a little “blingy” at first. Then I got some blades for it and gave it a whirl. My mind changed quickly! Smooth and easy...

I forgot to post my shave today. We had my boss and some potential customers visiting, so my decadence was a quick and bloodless shave that wouldn’t leave my collar itching all day. I got two out of three with the Schick G, RazoRock Lime, and my Envy White 24mm bush. (Can’t remember what class that falls into on the new ratings.) I didn’t realize I had a pimple on my chin until the new Chick blade fully removed it.

I have been soaking this soap, partially to make the load easier, and partially to help me use it faster. I use up about a fifth of an ounce on each shave. I have a ring of death in the bottom of the jar now, so I am hoping to kill it off this month. It pairs well with my way over mentholated Island Lime aftershave, even of the soap is a candy lime smell and the aftershave is a fruit lime smell.

    Decadent December!!!

    December 5

    Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette 195 Fatboy
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Pre-Shave - Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Soap - Soap Commander Courage
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

Holy Arko is this thread ever lively! Love it! Just need some time to catch up and it will all be good. Day five of Decadent December and I'm on the second day with the Fatboy and Sharp Star. Rotating the soap to Soap Commander Courage and the brush is back to the Wolf. Head shave first with Arko/VDH Boar/Merkur 23c/Astra SP. I took my time and nailed that one to the wall. My usual Heisenberg pass wasn't really necessary but I did it anyway and used Stirling Executive Man bath soap on my head afterwards for a bit of luxury.

Soap Commander. I'll be honest. When I was given a tub of it to try I was curious but was also kind of hoping I wouldn't like it. All of the enablers on here were burying me with soaps and suggestions for more at the time (apparently my minimalistic tendencies was bothering a few people) and I was kind of hoping one or more would fail. Well, guess what. It's still here and it is in my top 5 soaps. Easily. It is the only vegan formula soap I use and it is amazingly easy to lather and slick every time. Talk about consistency. I really should get some more samples of different scents just to play with them.

Using the Wolf I had a wonderful lather on top of the pre-shave and two passes and touch ups brought me to near perfection. I'm not worrying about whether or not it's BBS. If it's so close it could be it's all the same. Great shave again. The Fatboy and Sharp Star are so perfectly matched that I actually checked to make sure I had the blade in the razor after a couple of strokes. Hard to imagine a shave going any better than that!

Great shaves from everyone and the gear that I'm seeing is awesome! Keep it up!

According to Fragrantica TOBS main accords are citrus, floral, vanilla, and patchouli. That covers a lot of ground. Citrus all by it's self could be any number of more than a dozen scents. Floral as well. Vanilla is a fairly narrow band, but I own three different patchoulis as well.
If you really like the soap scent TOBS makes 30 products in the Jermyn Collection!

You are correct, Sir! Not margarine, butter. While the corn is popping in a 4 quart stainless Wolfgang Puck on the gas stove, I gently melt a pat of butter using 10 second microwave bursts. Transfer popped corn to the big yellow Pyrex bowl, pour on the butter, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning. Accompanied with a tall glass of sweet tea.

I'm with ya Keith. I was 10 pages behind when I logged on this evening.

That reminded me of an old joke:

I went into the coffee shop the other day, and a buddy of mine was sitting in there sporting two black eyes. I asked him what happened, and he said:

“I was in church on Sunday, and when we got up to sing, I couldn’t help but notice that the dress of the woman in front of me was sticking up the crack of her butt. About halfway through the hymn, I couldn’t take looking at it anymore, so I reached up and pulled it out. That’s how I got the first one.”

I asked him about the second.

“Well it seemed pretty obvious she wanted it stuck up there, so I pushed it back in. “
