Love the photo Perry! The Revere really IS fun to use, isn't it? They're much lighter than they look

The Cooper looks great (so does the brush)! I actually like that it's not in mint condition. Adds a true vintage touch to it.

    Just...wow!

Excellent shot once again Andrew! I dig the razor...a lot.

I saw it for the first time while watching "I'd Lather Be Shaving". It doesn't seem to be one of the more popular aftershaves, maybe due to limited availability (not too many places carry it). One of these days I might have to give it a shot. Thanks for the input!

I have the .95 Scalloped but not the .68. I ordered a polished Blackland Blackbird your exact reason. Guys with the Bronze and the .68 say they are very similar. Couple that with the Blackbird supposedly shaving more aggressive than the .58 gap would indicate...and I'm hoping 3 will combine to make a good Toggle! Haha.

The Bronze is really a beautiful thing. I think I'll try to keep tarnish at bay, maybe. My cleaning practices may not allow it anyway. Razors get taken apart, toweled, and blown dry before they get put away. I think if it sits in the stand for a month with no use, in a damp bathroom, it would tarnish. I just can't see it sitting there that long though.

Pics? I've not seen a Black Beauty from DE. I'm sure she's smokin' hot.

Thank you Gentlemen! I do enjoy both the competition and camaraderie amonsgst the 30 DC. Though we play as a group, we're all trying to beat our own best score.

Steve - Don't let our collective current level of photos stop you from posting a set up shot. Months back we had a short term 30 DC member (Shave Fu) that gave us all a boost. Not to say the pictures were slack prior, but a dose of Mister Miyagi style criticism elevated The Game. This group is all about Technique Trumping Tools.

I've got more expensive soap, but VDH does give good lather. I'll have to dig way back in the cabinet to find mine.

Exactly right....not heavy at all. It's just a fun razor. It'll get lots of use.

    Pre-shave: warm water wash
    Brush: VDH boar
Soap: Stirling Autumn Glory (courtesy of @SmokeShowing PIF)
Razor: Ming Shi set at #2.5
    Blade: Wilkinson Sword (6)
Post-shave: Assured WH, Aqua Velva Sensitive Skin 5 in 1 AS balm, Adidas Dynamic Pulse AS

I actually thought about NOT shaving today. I know... how ridiculous a thought, right? Keeping up with this thread is akin to running a marathon. :scared007:

But it was reading everyone's posts which encouraged me to get 'er done.

I dialed the Futur Clone to #2.5 for this shave and this blade was on it's 6th use. It still feels mild to me, but even though it doesn't feel like it's cutting stubble... and I'm not really hearing any audible sound of stubble-cutting... it's cutting it down! I got a close, comfortable shave. I keep rubbing my face to make sure and it feels great.

This was the second time I've used a Stirling soap, and this was my first use of the Autumn Glory sample (again thanks to @SmokeShowing for your PIF). I really like this scent. I don't know how to describe scents, but I like this one a lot. Felt good on the face... overall I give it a big thumbs up... :happy088::happy088::happy088:

I trust everyone is having a great week of shaves, and a great week overall!

If you are going to properly reference Shave Fu (or the well-earned CT of Shavette Fu), you cannot do it in less than 1500 words...
'Mister Miyagi' style criticism? More like...
