Thanks Jason. The developer provided a drawing of the basic floor plan, and we are tweaking it now. We've walked through several of his completed homes and gathered a bunch of ideas. We've also taken photos of home facades that we like, and the draftsman is incorporating various features into the exterior design. He's able to "walk us around" the outside of the house and "take us through all the rooms" in 3D using his design software, which is very cool. My Bride, especially, is having a lot of fun with the design. I'm having fun watching her have fun...and also making sure it's within our means. If all goes well, we'll break ground in the Spring.

We decided to move earlier this year when a couple of businesses decided to build very close to our home. One would be open from 6 am until midnight seven days a week. The area is getting too busy and noisy for us. We found a spot that should offer more privacy.

Idiots live everywhere, and a fancy new AWD SUV is NOT a “+4 Cloak of Invincibility” when it comes to stopping on glare ice.

Agreed. I have two sticks of La Toja. They should last me at least 20 years. The stuff never goes away.

Do the movers take the hitch off the house and chock the wheels for you, or do I need to grab up a few cases of Old Style and round up some of the boys?

Seriously though Charlie, congrats on the future digs!

Thanks Jared! I wish our trailer sat on the ground and had wheels so we could move it. Unfortunately, we live in a high rise. Rat race and all that....

Man, this thread is screaming. It's busy times, so I'm struggling just to read, let alone like the posts and actually take pics. That said, this was a really nice shave. 30DC brush, Tabac and Joris.

I was driving home from church last night with my 6 year old daughter. She was unusually quiet (she even talks in her sleep) so I looked in the rear view mirror to check on her and see this.[IMG][IMG]

I bought two of them a few of years ago. Wore them for work T’s. Any woman who has the fortitude to make THAT vid, deserves the shirt sales.

Or ma6be I should say, guts to wear those pants.

    NCoxSTL AAACK!

    Decadent December!!!

    December 7 - It's TOGGLE TIME!

    Razor - 1960 (F4) Gillette Toggle (1)
    Blade - voskhod-teflon-coated.jpg (1)
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

Let me just start with a huge THANK YOU to @LOOT for allowing one of his toggles to visit the banks of the Missouri River. The chance to try out one of these razors makes my day, and will make several days of shaving. I can think of few things more decadent than getting to shave with a Toggle. Yes, I know, it's really just a Gillette Adjustable (although their first attempt) and it was surpassed in popularity by the Fatboy (explaining why they stopped making it in 1960) but the unique design and history of the razor just makes it fun.

My plan for the Toggle is to use it for a couple of weeks while researching every last detail about it for a reboot on my blog. I figure restarting that project with a legendary razor will give it the momentum it needs to keep me involved and hopefully attract some readers. I'm looking for sometime after Christmas but before New Year's Day for that, so I have plenty of time to really get to know this razor.

By the way, there were three models of the Toggle and this is the "Chrome Toggle" as it is often referred to. The one that @LOOT shaved with this morning is the "Standard" Toggle. It features a different blade tray and is a bit longer than the Chrome. The first model was the "Serial Toggle" and it has more in common with the Chrome than the Standard.

I chose MWF and the Wolf to kick off these shaves. Might as well go decadent all the way. I decided to just start with the razor dialed down to "1" and work my way up through 9 as I go. Needless to say, a Gillette Adjustable on its lowest setting is as mild as a razor gets. I think the Weishi is more aggressive. So, three passes and some touch up and I have a barely DFS that was very fun to achieve. Yeah, the results at that low of a setting leave something to be desired but the experience did not. The razor has good heft and balance with the toggle itself creating the need to hold it closer to the head. I know as I open the gap up it will produce a shave on par with the Fatboy or Slim. They are, after all, closely related.

Great shave and a very fun one as well.
