    Fantastic picture, Mark!
We'll definitely have to keep it for prosperity sake. Not very common around here.

    Love the brush!
As for the razor, I will say I have way too many razors. Some I haven’t even shaved with yet, and I haven’t even spent enough time with the straight to master . RAD passed a while back and I don’t need any more razors. Having said all that, I’ve never shaved with a one-blade and the collection may have room for another razor or six. How do you like it? (This is an open question to all, by the way.)

Happy to be back on the Stoylin/Clubman bandwagon for a few days. Once again I had to redo a miss on my right cheek-this issue certainly needs some focus.

The shave cream experiment is a really cool idea. When do you guys find out the results of your experiment?

Happy Friday Charlie. It would be nice to ride in weather like you have pictured.

Wow. That is cool that your kids get to see a winter scene so close to Christmas.

Great photos and recaps Jared. I hope you are able to enjoy some time off during the holiday.

    Fantastic holiday photo Mark.

Great photo Brian. With your home sold, do you get to unpack some of the Shave Den?

Thank you. I’m thinking about it. I am actually enjoying focusing on a couple of razors, but will probably succumb to a need for variety.

    WTG, touch up

Snow day here in the South! Our school system announced a 2-hour delay last night and then of course made the call to cancel after I had already gotten up and in the shower. Oh well. Not complaining as we now have an unexpected day off and I get to spend it with my little boy!

Terrific shave with The Fat. The nimble Schick 66 worked well again. All came together nicely as usual for these Friday shaves.

Maybe I can keep up a little better with the thread today. Enjoy!

Randy, I am sure Mark will chime in with his comments but I thought I would add mine as well.

The OneBlade is a controversial razor to say the least. I feel the controversy is due to three prime reason. The first is the price of the razor. Let's face it the thing is over priced to say the least. While the fit and finish is fantastic, the Genesis is priced higher than a Wolfman or Timeless that have equally good workmanship. If you are patient they have a couple of big sales each year that help some. However, if you are looking to save money shaving the OneBlade is likely not a good choice.

The second reason for the controversy is the choice to build the razor around the Feather FHS. The blade is not sold everywhere, expensive and last at most 3-4 shaves each. OneBlade further upset folks by negotiating to be the sole distributor of the blade for the US. Most EU retailers will not ship the blade to the US. So you have to buy blades from OneBlade. You can offset the cost and longevity of the blade by using a modified Gem blade.

The last reason really is revolves around what one wants out of a shave. Many people are put off by the lack of skill needed to get a great shave from the OneBlade. If you are the type that likes the thrill of mastering a new technique or prefers the nostalgia of using a vintage, then the OneBlade is not for you. However if you like the idea behind a cartridge razor but want to reduce irritation, the OneBlade might just be the ticket. For me I don't care about nostalgia and most days I just want a super quick shave. I can get consistently great shaves from all my razors but the OneBlade is the only one that I am guaranteed of a drama free near perfect shave while doing everything wrong. For me the OneBlade ticks the boxes on most mornings. I will continue to use my other razors but the OneBlade has earned its place as my favorite razor.
