Oh my.... I finally caught up on this thread. I'm hours behind. Let me just say to everyone you have a lot of great photos on here of your shaving equipment... I love the photos of the snowy Southern states... our snow mostly melted the last couple of days.

New old decadence for December

I mostly go for modern production razors but I could not pass on this one. It came honed and stropped. The edge was very smooth, sharp enough but not as sharp as I like. The lather was R66 slick and the edge smooth so I did some clean up so as to finish up smooth.

So, I need your help. I have three razors I haven’t shaved with yet, and can’t decide what order to use them in. I have a 6/8 Wade & Butcher For Barber’s Use full hollow with new scales and a Jnat edge (first picture,) a 7/8 George Wostenholm & Sons near wedge also with a Jnat edge (second picture,) and a Jwest Frameback with a fresh edge by me (on left in last picture.) I’m very torn on which one to use.

 

Take Balletercize, it gets faster results.

I’d be all over the 7/8 GW first, followed by the JWest. The W & B would be the closer.

 

I haven't taken the dive into the SR pool yet, but in my humble opinion, I would say the Jwest.... it's shiny, and pretty, and you gave it a fresh edge. It's whispering, "Use me first."
