That is beautiful, Mark. DK’s Taca handles are some of the most elegant out there.

Super advice. I never thought of that. The TN Dickensen’s I normally use doesn’t have enough oomph to completely dissolve them. They just sort of looked like translucent tapioca sitting in the bottom of the bottle.

I don't have one, yet, but I have considered one for a while. So far, I have resisted.

A change of brush and software for the next few days. The brush is the WDC-6 made by our own @Douglas Carey with a Tuxedo knot installed. After reading about the new Proraso Single Blade shaving cream, I decided to order some of the Cypress & Vetyver scented shaving cream and balm. From my understanding the cream was developed to be used by barbers and is packaged in a huge 9.5 oz tube. So I transferred some of the shaving cream to a 2 oz tube in order to make it more easy to use on a daily basis. The Proraso was very easy to lather as expected with a subtle scent of freshness. The vetiver is there but not in your face. Unlike Proraso Green there is not cooling effect to the cream or balm. I really like the scent but wish the strength was higher. However, I did find the cream to be very slick with excellent residual slickness. The near perfect 3 pass shave with touch ups was uneventful as expected. A splash of Thayers with menthol followed by the balm kept the Cypress & Vetyver kept the theme going. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Maybe adding a teaspoon of alcohol would help the crystals dissolve.

Thanks Jim. Have a great day.

We finally got a sprinkling of snow yesterday and temps down in the 20s. The humidity in my house has consistently dropped below 40%....guess it's time to start up the humidifier.

    Sunday

    Prep: Hot shower
    Coffee: Dirigo Blue Kenya, black
    Tunes: Pandora, Kutless Radio
Soap: Grandma's Soap & Stuff Pine
    Brush: C&E Pure Badger
    SE: Gem G Bar
Blade: Gem, day 2, 3 passes
Post: Thayers Rose Petal WH with Aloe
Moustache Maintenance: Dirigo Blue 'Stache Stuff, Dirigo Blue 'Stache Wax

The soap was a puck I picked up a while back at Ft. Frederick Market Days. Picture a craft fair set in the late 1700s. Not a great soap, but it reminds me of a neat day spent with a buddy going back in time to the Revolutionary War/Frontier days.

Overall a nice shave. Ready for church!

    Thank you Doug.

I need pictures from you. Your gear certainly reads as pure DEcadence, however I've not hear of the majority of it.

Your choice in music is to be commended. Strong Tower is a favorite of mine.

Inspired by your post, I just read up on Ft. Frederick Market Days. That does seem like a great day to spend with a buddy.

Most craft shows today are geared toward women with quilts, pottery and flower arrangements. Ft Frederick had black powder guns and rifles, knives... lots of guy stuff.

Nah, I used that one up long ago. It actually cooled it, it just looked like it had clear cottage cheese in the bottom of the bottle.

It is something I would try if I could get it in a tube.

I took the picture out my bathroom window, but it’s only from the 25th floor, the penthouse is on 34th floor. I have a few floors to go. I live in the center of Saul along the Han river, There are both apartments and offices so within a 15 minute walk I have about 100 restaurants to choose from.
