December 10, 2017- The razor is Gold, so it must be decadent, right?

    Razor: Gem Junior
    Blade: Gem by Personna
    Brush: 30DC LE/Pure Badger
    Soap: Williams
    Post: Alum, Listerine

The last time I shaved with a Gem was during SEptember and, although I concluded that they are not my cup of tea, I did make some peace with them. This Gem Junior came as part of a recent bundle I picked up on eBay. I was in it for the other razor and, to be honest, the pictures of this one looked pretty sad. Surprisingly, what appeared to be rust was just rust stains set in soap scum which came off with a good soak and some buffing. The result was a very shiny Gold razor with just a little loss of plating on the leading edge of the comb. At that point, I had to give it a go. :)

Keeping the cap flat and using a light touch, I have to say that it was an enjoyable shave. I'll call it a DFS since it's not as close as I'd prefer in some spots. No irritation but one minor issue- I shaved the top off of a pimple and it bled a bit.

I have to say that I think the 1912's are my favorite of the Gem razors that I've used. This is a fine example, although I suspect I will ultimately pass it on to someone who can appreciate it more.

Fantastic photo, Doug! You’ve been in that spot before, I recall, and it is an incredibly photogenic place.

    Catie’s Bubbles Tonsorial Parlour SS

    Pinaud Clubman

I haven’t had a lot of time to read and post this weekend, but I did have a weekend shave. Day 8 with the Cooper, 2nd with a Polsilver. Next sample up was the Catie’s Bubbles. Made a decent lather and had a fairly rushed 3 pass shave. No issues, but nothing very memorable either. Finished with the Clubman, which to my nose was very close to the Tonsorial Parlour.
    Have a great evening, all!

Thanks very much Charlie. The building is for offices and a small manufacturer. Don't know what build though.
