If your 3 year old loves ribs that much it's proof that you're raising him right!! When my oldest daughter was about 3 or 4 she was sitting in her chair at my mom's table and we were having ribs. We had put a bib on her, covered the chair, floor etc. with plastic and let her go at it. Her face was covered in sauce and it was running down her arms. My mom made a comment about the ever-encroaching mess and Sabra looked at her and said just like a pro - "Grandma, if the sauce doesn't drip off your elbows you're not eating it right" - and with that went right back to attacking another rib. I couldn't have been prouder.

Thanks! It's not perfect, but I should hope to look so good when I'm almost 80 years old. :)

Well, I think Randy @BaylorGator looks good at 90. Maybe we should consult him for his advice. It has to be more than the obvious: bran flakes, Just For Men color and Dippity-do for the hair, and Noxema and 8 hours of shut eye every night. :D

I bet Sabra grew up to be a very well-adjusted young lady. :happy096:

I also prefer to eat ribs on Setting Sabra.

    Decadent December!!!

    December 10 - It's TOGGLE TIME!

    Razor - 1960 (F4) Gillette Toggle (4)
    Blade - sharp-star.jpg (1)
    Soap - Stirling Ozark Mountain
    Brush - Jayaruh #46
    Post - Alum

Up another notch as we climb toward Setting Me on the Toggle. It's at 4 tonight, which is one notch above my trial setting for mild razors. And, as it's the fourth shave, it's time to switch blades. Grabbed a Sharp Star to continue the decadence with the best NOS blade out there. Add in the Stirling Ozark Mountain with JR46 and this should be.........

    55515413.jpg

Great lather, two passes and touch ups, nice audible feedback starting to get more noticeable with each click of the adjustment dial, and......the baby crawled in the door at the last minute. There we go. The Toggle is acting just like its Gillette Adjustable brethren. And it's doing it in style. Alum was quiet, and all's well at Cartel HQ West for the night. Hope you have a great week coming up! I actually have two days in a row off starting tomorrow again. Life is good.

Sunday/Monday around midnight - Mystery Cream Challenge

    Gillette Black Beauty on 4 / Topaz Platinum ( 1 )
30DC LE Maple Cashmere synthetic brush
    Vlasta cream sample J
    Alum and water rinse

Sample J today. Another croap wrapped in wax paper. Unlike most of the samples so far, this one had a fairly strong and long-lasting scent. What that scent is exactly, I couldn't tell you. It's a bit spicy, a bit woodsy, a bit floral or herbal; whatever it is, I quite enjoyed it. Shaving performance was excellent.

I thoroughly enjoyed lathering it up, working the lather over my face, and removing it in three full passes.
I wouldn't mind having this one in my den.

I have noticed recently that I am able to do full three-pass shaves more often than I used to without getting patches of irritation. That may be partly because I am lathering the soaps better to get more out of them, and may be partly because I am using more balms and splashes afterwards, but mainly, I think it is better skin stretching and lighter pressure on the razor.

Congrats on the decrease in irritation. I think you are right on the reasons for the decrease.

Hard to believe it is Monday morning and a new work week so soon. At least I was able to get a great shave to start the week. Everything just worked very well together ending in a near perfect shave. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

    Razorock Plissoft Brush
    CO Bigelow SC
    Gillette Aristocrat Jr
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Proraso Green AS

Another nice shave this morning. This has become a favorite Menthol Monday set up for me. It isn't too cold, but the performance is great and it works well out of the dopp kit. The Aristocrat Jr is a great razor with a hefty head, and I got a DFS in two passes. I hope everyone has a great day!

    Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick
    Razor: Personna injector
    Brush: Jayaruh boar
    Lather: C.O. Bigelow cream
Post: Witch hazel, Barbasol Brisk aftershave
    WTG, touch up

Easy shave this morning. The Bigelow cream always works well. Everything came together nicely. Didn't need much after a really close shave yesterday.

    Enjoy your day!

That's a great story, Neal! Our boy didn't get much in the ribs yesterday unfortunately. He was too distracted with all the other people there and had to make his rounds and say hello to everyone. It was really cute, of course, but he didn't eat his "bone meat" as he calls it. Oh well. I certainly enjoyed it!
