Cool effect with the coloured blade pack, Charlie.
Always nice when a new product works, Clint. Great photo and congrats on what sounds like a great shave.
Congrats on another excellent shave. I find the Twinjector blade gives a very close shave indeed, Jim. I feel just a little guilty using it though.
    DEcadent combo indeed, Mark.
I have a TGN finest as well. I find it an excellent knot, especially for the price.
Sounds like that technique really worked for that soap, Perry. Great photo effect.
Great set-up, Brian. Is the TSD Florida Water a close replica?

    Good morning everyone!

Today’s shave was brought to me by the following:
    Razor: WCS
Soap: Jeeves of Hudson Street Bay Rum
    Brush: JR216
    Blade: Astra S/P

Slight detour this morning (not that I truly had a master plan!)...
I was going to do a Tabac Tuesday, but when I got home last night, that “plan” got tossed abruptly.

Sitting in my mailbox was a package from a very thoughtful and generous Adam @Drygulch !! Nope...not a binder clip & a tuck of rusty blades! Not a DIY popsicle razor and a spray bottle of acetone aftershave either! No sir, I knew right away that Tuesday was going to be a Jeeves of Hudson Street Bay Rum kinda day!

I happened to have an empty Old Spice mug that I picked up for $5 at an antique store a little while back. The Jeeves was the perfect size for the mug, so now it has a “home”.

The JR 216 quickly and easily whipped up a nice lather. I have no other bay rum soaps to compare it to, but I find the scent to be fantastic! It’s not overly strong, but there is still plenty of scent to delight while lathering and shaving.

On the face, the soap gives plenty of thick cushion, and it’s amazingly slick. The residual slickness is also very good, allowing for a bit of touch up without applying more lather.

I almost stopped at two passes, however I was enjoying the scent and performance too much, so I went a third pass + a bit of touch up. While I was at it, I also went ahead and lathered & shaved the back of my neck.

The post-shave feel of the Jeeves is also exceptional! I didn’t bother with any witch hazel or A/S, and my face feels fantastic...not only smooth, but soft as well. Jeeves is a treat!!

Thank you Adam!! You are quite kind & generous! It’s people like you that make this forum such a great place!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!

A double or quad J shave would be tempting! I am surprised we haven't seen one grace your SOTD photos just yet.

Alas, I have no twin blades. And the thought of shaving with the Double J kinda scares me. Maybe Neal @NCoxSTL would do it.

    Tuesday

    Prep: Hot shower
    Coffee: Wegmans Traditional Medium, black
    Tunes: Pandora Shuffle
    Soap: Cyral Salter
    Brush: Redleaf
    Razor: L3 Travel Tech
Blade: Astra SP, day 2, 3 passes
Post: Cold water rinse, Dickenson's WH, hand strop blade and drop into next razor
    Smell-goody: B&BW Noir
Moustache Maintenance: Dirigo Blue 'Stache Stuff, Dirigo Blue 'Stache Wax

Darn near BBS. Gotta love Astra SPs.
The Cyral Salter soap is some great stuff. I bought it several years ago when it was the "GOTTA HAVE IT" soap. These times, they are a-changin'.

Yep. I posted about it yesterday. The soap burned my lips only. The aftershave started a small fire on my face. I would encourage you to reach out to Rod. He needs that feedback. My Rose will be sent on to a Densian directly, hopefully they don't get the thorns too.

The mug is one in a set of four. I found it at an antique mall.
