My wife and I are in need of a new coffee maker, and this is the one I have been looking at. Thanks for the confirmation, as it sounds like the direction to go!

That's a great mug! How do you like that mixed boar/badger brush? How does it compare to unmixed ones?

Great looking coffee maker with excellent reviews. Really a shame that they don't make one larger than 8 cups.

Lots of great shave reviews and photos today, gentlemen! Good information on coffeemakers too :).

I think I have just been shamed into taking any future photos I post with my digital camera (and then downloading them to my desktop, writing my posts there, and then uploading) instead of just snapping them with the camera on my PlayBook. The PlayBook camera is handy because I can snap the photo and then post it directly into the comment I am typing, but its lens just doesn't have the sharp focus for close-up photos that the photo standards of this thread now require...

I appreciate all the photos. Before going all out, maybe go to the extra effort 2 or 3 times a week. That's what I did and it photography has turned into another hobby for me.

Another excellent close comfortable shave tonight. The Simpson brush whipped up the Oleo soap into a great lather and it was all downhill from there. :)

    Good afternoon/evening everyone!

No photo today...had obligations this morning that prevented that from happenin’.

And, I’m just far enough behind that I’ll just say that there were many awesome photos posted today! Keep up the great work gents!

I had a slight twist with my shave today...
Our very own Jared @PickledNorthern sent me a very generous box of “homework”!! In the box is a metric ton of artisan soap samples and a Stirling brush - with a big ‘ol Plisson knot!! Thank you Jared!!!

So - what better way to start the party than with some Stirling Electric Sheep?!

I put a pinch of the soap in my lather bowl and smooshed it down. Using the Stirling brush I began to lather...as soon as a little water hit the soap the scent just filled the room. I find the citronella aroma quite nice, although I can understand that this is not a soap for everyone. Even my wife likes the scent...

Is it possible to have a slicker lather than Electric Sheep? Wow. Just amazing. I truly enjoyed the brush too. I know it doesn’t have the biggest knot out there, but it’s a monster compared to my others. Plenty of backbone, yet very soft. Quite hefty compared to my others as well.

I used my WCS razor with an Astra S/P and I could barely tell there was a blade loaded.

Three easy passes, plus a little touch up (and the back of my neck) and I was good to go! I might not have quite caught the baby, but I was really close.

Not only was today’s shave a nice, comfortable one - it was a FUN shave!!

Oh, and there were zero mosquitos anywhere to be found! :D

Thanks again to Jared for the box of goodies!

We’re almost to Friday fellas - hang in there! :)

It’s hard to beat a Honda! I don’t know much about the HR-Vs yet, aside from seeing them on the road. They look nice though!
However, not as nice as my chick magnet Honda...the Element! Oh yeah...what woman can possibly resist a guy in an Element? :D

Congrats on the new ride! I hope it gives you many years of service.

John, I picked up a tripod for my Android phone and take most of my photos on the dining room table. I don't use a flash - just the overhead light - to eliminate a lot of the glare. I also use the built-in countdown timer in the phone to eliminate any camera shake. I'll take maybe three photos of the same scene, focusing on different areas in the view finder. I'll repeat this for a few day's worth of shots, and I may end up with 20 or more photos. I then email the photos to myself, download them on my laptop, select the ones having the clearest overall focus, and then play with them on Fotor (free on-line photo editor). I nearly always have to crop out parts of my dining room table and the feet of the tripod. Fotor also lets me adjust the color, rotate/resize the image, add borders, titles, etc. This might be an another easy option if you have the time and interest.

I have hereby trademarked the use of scrap booking backgrounds, so you have to look elsewhere for your artistic zing. I once used an All Bran cereal box as a background, so I will claim that as well. :)

I have tried taking photos in the shave den while I'm shaving. Interestingly enough, I can get so focused on the photo that I lose focus on my shave. :)

This is the tripod I have, but there are many others. It allows me take clear close-up photos with my el cheapo phone.

Mine only makes four cups, so keep that in mind if you look at them. We'll often make a second pot of coffee to get eight cups total.
