Okay..... How about a quick Lighting Round? Top 5 Stirling Scents as of now. Not 6 or 10, because you can’t decide. First five that pop into your head. If you don’t have five, then list them in order of preference. Ready,,,,, GO! 1.) Port au Prince 2.) Almond Creme 3.) Electric Sheep 4.) Glastonbury 5.) Gentleman
Very interesting on how tastes differ. @Bama Samurai PIF'ed me a tub of Gentleman as it was not to his liking. When I got it, I really wasn't a fan, but have come to enjoy using it even though the scent profile is not really in my wheelhouse. I do like that it gave me my first introduction to Stirling soaps. I have really come to like the performance and ordered some Sheep and Rose. Unfortunately, I think that I am going to give up on the Rose. I have been getting a low grade burning sensation from it. I love the scent, but my skin is reacting badly to something in it making the shave less than pleasant. I will end up PIFing the puck of Rose. Right now Electric Sheep is the hands down winner for me. It is a fantastic soap.
You guys not including Black Cherry, Orange Chill, Lemon Chill, Bergamot Lavendar or Pharaoh’s Dreamsicle are nuts.
I like Lemon Chill, but Bergamot Lavender and Pharaoh's Dreamsicle weren't for me. Haven't tried Black Cherry or Orange Chill.....yet.
I might go for Lemon Chill some summer...course if I move West it may not be AS necessary, with the drier heat. Still...heat is heat.
This is tough. For now, they would be (in no order): Executive Man Pharaoh's Dreamsicle Baker Street Piacenza Iced Pineapple This is so difficult! To recap, it took me a while to come up with just five. I love Sandalwood, Vanilla Sandalwood, Tuscany, Island Man, Weekend In Malibu, Sharp Dressed Man, South Padre, Frozen Tundra, MITA, and Orange Chill, and could swap any of them on that list for these. I think those I listed above just put that extra smile on my face when they come up. This is what pushed them over the top of a very difficult list. The one thing I love about Stirling soaps is that I find it difficult to find a scent I do NOT LIKE! After having been to Pasteur's and smelling what other vendors put out, I cannot make this claim for many vendors and artisans out there. In fact, I just got an order from Stirling and other than having replenished several samples with full size containers, I added without ever having smelled Red Eye, Stirling Green, Apple Cider, Agar and City Slicker. Yeah, many of these were on sale but I find each to smell wonderful. Stirling definitely has more shelf space than any other vendor in my den. In fact, my wife and daughter also love getting various soaps and lotions from Stirling as well. Thank you Rod and Amanda! Happy Holidays to all, Frank
I don't really have a top 5 because I'm still working through a bunch of of samples, but these are keepers for me so far: Iced Pineapple Executive Man Mountain Man Maybe Baker Street, but with two cologne type scents in the lineup that I like better it may not make the cut.
