For Williams Wednesday I went with the only Williams I have in a stick, a 50/50 Arko/Williams stick. It produced such a lather that my brush looked like a wild rabbited badger.(HAHA  ) I put a fresh Pink blade in the General and did a 2.5 pass shave. The 0.5 part was a third pass on my neck. This left me with a delightful BBS shave. Finished off with the Avon Tai Winds AS and I am now ready for the day. Well that and a third cup of coffee will do wonders.

I had the same thoughts. I like heavier razors. I did however just purchased the aluminum and shaved with it this morning and it’s absolutely fantastic! I recommend buying. $40 can’t go wrong.

Steve the daily shaver is the guilty party for the purchase. He got my curiosity going and I do agree with his review. Great razor! Now, will the stainless steel be just as good?

I have all the Generals as I like the looks of them, but unfortunately in my case, the pro and Proline are too mild and the super pro, too aggressive in any of them.

I have tried Schick Proline and Kai Pink in mine. I found the Proline to be to aggressive for me and I get the best shave results, I mean BBS with out trying with the Kai Pinks. Just my opinion. I have the Feather Pro Super up next after the blade in it now is done.

I have been ignoring the General. Again, my 1st Artist blade SE Razor & Schick Proline 1st & only blades I have. This was the 5th shave and blade is still wickedly sharp, unreal blade!

Loaded a New Schick Proline, ymmv but shave #1 on these are the sharpest of any SE blade I have ever tried. This General is amazing and I actually like the stock handles shape and lack of heft is no problem, zero pressure on this blades maiden voyage. I would never strope this blade, the crazy sharp 1st shave is a wild ride.
