    Up for the next few days is my first custom brush, a Rudy Vey Rover with a TGN Finest knot along with the MdC Vetyver. This brush was a gift from my wife and daughters. The TGN Finest knot has good backbone and scrub making it a joy to use face lathering. The MdC Vetyver soap is a limited edition scent from MdC. The soap has all the normal properties of MdC with a dark smokey and earthy scent of vetiver. The scent is present throughout the shave. I always seem to have excellent shaves when I use MdC and this morning was no exception. Three passes and touch ups along my jawline and neck ended with me just missing the baby. A splash of Fine Fresh Vetiver and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

    If you had a good shave on 5 you might want to try 5 again and/or notch it up or down from there. For me, the lower settings are quite underwhelming and not nearly as effective on the fatboy. Of course YMMV, but for me the sweet spot on a fatboy is around 6. Even if you like mild razors that's more like a 3 or 4.

    Neal beat me to the punch here, but +1.

    I have 3 MdC scents. The Original, Fougere and Vetiver. Of the 3 Vetiver and Original are my favorite depending on my mood. I should also note that the Vetiver is in their new plastic jar which is fantastic.
