Much too much. That is well beyond chunky...and not a redhead. Thank you for the attempt though.

    Thank you, Jim.

Thank you, Jared. You're certainly right about a directive. In this case my friend had one. Unfortunately his simply appointed a person to make decisions about his care -- the son who has gone a little off the deep end. Which is causing some contention in the family...

Thank you, @wchnu. Yeah, the majority of adults in Canada and the US don't even have Wills, never mind Living Wills or Healthcare Directives...

    Great lineup.

Thanks for taking the time to write up your thoughts as you go through the test.

    Great photo Keith.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I do hope and pray that his passing will be peaceful and he will be spared undue suffering.

John, I am so sorry about your friend. I prayed for him, his family, and his medical caregivers this morning.

Well, with no hot water this morning, I suppose that qualifies me for having a "Cold Water Shave". I figured the Russian Leather would warm my face a little. What I needed today was Stoylin's Texas On Fire. We'd better be back to normal later today.

I could have kept going with the Gem blade but it was getting a little tired and I wanted a change of pace. So I will be using a Feather for the next few shaves. As expected the RV Rover loaded and lathered the MdC easily. The dark smokey Vetyver scent of the soap fills the room and last throughout the shave. Three passes and touch ups along the jaw line and neck brought the baby home with no drama. A splash of Fine Fresh Vetiver and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

Very sorry to hear about your friend John. Given that he has zero chance of recovering, hopefully he will pass quickly and painlessly. Still very sad, and not easy for anyone close to him.

Thanks for the reminder though. My wife and I do have all those documents (did that years ago), but they could use a "refresh" to make everything current.

My sister sent me a meme awhile back saying she loved me but that she would unplug my vent to make coffee. Seeing as she is the one I will count on if the time comes I figure I might need something!!!

Clint I have noticed you always say things so well.

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen. This has been a fun focus, for sure.

I plan to break from my focus tomorrow and shave with a Dorco cartridge razor, a Neutrogena brushless product, and unrefined shea butter. I would consider this to be a minimal travel kit or a set up to be used if time was short. It will be far from decadent, but it will be interesting to see what kind of results I get from my normal two-pass routine.

I hope you all have a great Wednesday. My Bride and I have been invited to a Christmas party at the company where she worked. It will be fun to catch up with our friends. We have some errands and Christmas shopping planned as well.

    DECember 20 SOTD:

    Razorock Plissoft Brush
Jeeves of Hudson St Bay Rum
    Gillette Toggle
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Clubman VI Bay Rum AS

A new toy for DECember today, as I just received a Toggle. After all the discussion, I was really looking forward to it. My first impression is pretty much awesome. I am sure some of it is mental, but it felt a bit more substantial than a Fatboy. It also felt a bit more aggressive. I started on 6, which is where I like my Fatboy, and I definitely had more blade feel. I will probably spend most of the rest of the month on this razor, so I will probably start at 1 and work up. It was two passes and a DFS, so a good start.

I am on my way to our corporate office in San Antonio for a last minute training class. The training department is surprised that they had cancelations on a class they scheduled on the Thursday before Christmas. I was a last minute fill in, and really if my parents didn't live there, I probably would have declined as well. It makes for some driving, but it should be a good trip. I hope everyone has a great day!
