    Fine Santal.

    Today was a very pleasant shave #2 with my first straight razor. It was a very nice experience, but as expected the result is not quite as smooth I am able to achieve using my DEs (but still better than the Mach III I retired years ago). It's only my second time with it and expect I will have better results in the coming months. Overall, i am very satisfied and happy I finally mustered the courage to start with a straight.

    I broke out a "newish" straight of mine. I still like the older ones more. This one is loud, but sharp. I had a 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS. I was bit by this razor 3 times. Very small, and only one I felt, on the upper lip. Maybe that's why I'm not thrilled with this one.

    Razor- Dovo. Best Quality, Solingen Germany.
    Brush- B400 by Tom
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
    Aftershave- Vintage Shulton Old Spice. The Admiral.

    Hooked on Proraso White......must.......continue........rotation. Got a BBS this morning and finished it off with HBG Bay Rum AS splash. My skin appreciates it. Smooth, toned and ready to go!

    This is me trying to re-enact my first ever straight razor shave. I am using the same razor I first shaved with but not the same cream. I used TOBS Limes the first time but I cannot find the tub now!!!

    Razor: Gillette Fat Boy
    Blade: Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus (Shave #2)
    Brush: Maggard Marble Synthetic-24mmx56mm
    Aftershave: Country Club Classic Fougere

    WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

    CRSW Bergamot & Bay today. 20 seconds to load the Maggard Synthetic brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus in the Gillette Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Country Club Classic Fougere aftershave.
