No photo today, partly due to laziness, partly due to the fact it'll end up looking just like another setup I posted recently....
Today's shave was brought to me by the following:
Razor: WCS closed comb (89 style head)
Brush: JR113
Soap: Jeeves of Hudson Street Bay Rum
Blade: Astra SP
I was thinking of Adam
@Drygulch this morning, which led me to use the Jeeves he sent recently. The JR113 did a marvelous job of lathering the soap up. The brush had a nice amount of lather loaded up, so I skipped the bowl today and went straight to the face. It was thick, rich and slick. Three passes and I'm good to go. Normally I can get a full week out of an Astra, but the blade signaled that it's submitting its retirement papers. It was a bit tuggy and rough. I still managed to squeak out a good shave with only one tiny weeper.
Against my better judgement, I spied the Chiseled Face Midnight Stag aftershave sample in my cabinet and went with that. Now I smell like I just crawled from underneath a car with a leaking gas tank. Fortunately, my wife is at work and she won't be home until after I leave for work.
Adam, I hope everything is OK and your crew is doing alright as well with the bad news.
Hope everyone has a great Thursday!
