  1. There's never a good time to lose a job, or to find out you'll be out of work, but the holiday season makes it even worse. And you're in an even tougher spot since it affects people who work for you too. Dealing with it for yourself, yet trying to keep them motivated and positive has to be rough. Not that it helps your situation, but you'll certainly be in my thoughts...

  4. Terrific picture, Clint!
  5. Thank you Jim. :happy088:
  6. Gem Bullet Tip
    Gem Stainless (1)
    Semogue BC Texugo
    Stirling Electric Sheep
    Superior 70 Bay Rum

Since I needed a new blade today, I felt like playing with the Bullet Tip. Slightly less effective per pass for me than the CP, but the end result was the same, a nice comfortable shave. Enjoy your day.
  7. Great photo Clint! Bummer that you have to work on a planned day off. Hopefully you'll get things wrapped up a bit early and get the holiday weekend started!
  8. Thank you Bruce. It shouldn't take too much time. It is really not something I can do remotely, so going in is the only real hassle. I should be back home by the time the girls are ready to hang out with the old guy so it is all good.
  9. Two thoughts this morning:
    1. The only downside to a sharp razor is that they have a tendency to "tree top" pimples and get blood in my sink.
    2. Wholly Kaw King of Oud is pure decadence. You could apply it with a porcupine pelt and still enjoy the smooth creamy lather and wonderful scent.
    That is all.

  13. The Jermyn Street Aftershave is spot on the same scent. It lasts longer than most aftershaves, 4-5 hours perhaps.

    B-400 Brush by Tom
    Portland Razor Company Siren

  15. Our dumpster here is JAMMED with "stuff" people presumably just threw away before they moved. I bet we get a message from the mgr. to limit our jamming(how's THAT for a paradox? lol).

    1958 Gillette Standard Toggle (D1)
    @Jayaruh 223 brush
    Stirling Vanilla Sandalwood
    Kai (1)

All of the Toggle pics made me jealous, so I put my Blackbird to the side and broke out my D1. This was the first run with a Kai in a Toggle, so I dialed her back to 6. The JR223 whipped up a ton of typically decadent lather. 2 passes...choke up on the head...DFS. The Toggle was super smooth with the Kai. It certainly benefits from a super sharp blade.

    Have a great day, men!

  17. What blade? Which blades have you run in the Toggle? Preferences?

  18. Another great looking razor. Makes me want a strait. If memory serves, this is the 2nd Portland strait you've posted. The other was a Hydra (II actually googled it), I believe. Do you have more? What are the scales made of?
  19. Thanks. This is my only Portland. The scales are acrylic.
  20. Wow. Great looking Aristocrat OC. I forget that you have a very nice collection of vintage razors

Great photo. I see you got the PRC touched up. The Siren certainly looks great.

    Wow. Gorgeous Toggle.
