The E2 is fantastic. Do you find it aggressive?

I would say smooth enough to classify it as efficient rather than aggressive. I usually find the Pella blades a little rough on the 1st shave before smoothing out.

Awesome. I have one that is just about the most agressive feeling razor I own. Love it. I rate it up with a single ring or OCMM.

After poor initial Shaves with the ATT SE G1 that I so want to like, I decided that it is most likely too mild for me. I decided to contact ATT, and Stan very quickly got back to me. He confirmed that I have got a Version 2, and as most people get on with it, there are no plans for any further modifications. He like me thought it was a beard thing, and suggested to increase aggressiveness a shim under the blade might help.

Not really what you want from an expensive buy, but then I have had similar problems with the Sabre T1, and the Supply SE. My beard is a bit heavy and strong. I used to have problems in recruit stage of my Service career, being often made to have a second Shave after parade, I was for many years a Two a Day Shaver. So really my beard growth is not your average.

Having a sleepless night I played around with shims - 1/2 spine and injector blade both work but need a bit of metal taking off. I made a plastic one from material taken from a Personna/Gem 100 blade container:). A few hours later well lathered with Vitos Red I decided to give it a try.

I must admit that I started cautiously, but two strokes in it was obvious that though the Razor was still smooth, there was a nice degree of blade feel combined with efficiency. I am very pleased with the ease and quality of the finished Shave in which no mishaps occurred, nor were there any post shave problems.

For me it would appear that the modern S/S Gem Razors, are no match for many Vintage SE that I use with the need for assistance. Yesterdays Shave with an ER Streamline was superb, but I have in the past said that the likes of the Natural Angle/G Bar may well suit someone with a lighter beard than mine.

    Gem 1911 Lather Catcher
    Original Gem Cutlery SE

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Colgate Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the GarnerPW IX synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Speick AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The Shovelhead with a proper blade can give very good results. A three pass shave left me with a DFS.

Tom loaned me one of his OC Dammies so that I may play along with Fuzzy and him when they have an OC Dammy party. It arrived yesterday. This is a razor on my watch list now. Two passes and a DFS was had. Was it any better or worse than another Dammy? Good question. Ask me again in about a month. I may have an answer about then but no promises. I have looked for one myself but they are about as rare as the White Buffalo.

The problem now is do I shave with The General or Toms OC Dammy on Christmas Day.

May your holiday be filled with family and cheer. May the New Year bring you good health and happiness filled with family and friends.

Christmas Eve before work shave. The 1915 Kampfe/Star
Is awesome. Hard to believe I almost junked it when I got it several years ago. This palmolive is old formula. I do not know how old. 80s maybe? It still lathers great. I did a video on face lathering a cream from a tube by putting a bit on the brush tips. It is in the shave school across the street. Hope you are all having a great night!!

I am going to be on the road for a few days. Traveling in my Expedition so no issues on space. I found out the chapstick shavestick will fit in the same pill bottle as the @GarnerPW III synthetic. I am keeping my travel cake of Williams for tomorrows Christmas shave!!

A treat using the Type F for the first time. So tactile in the hand very smooth using the Shave, a bit mild for me but did get a good quality all round finish with a bit of extra work.
