  3. I am pretty far behind, and could just skim through to catch up. Some great pictures and nice looking shaves going around today. It's been a couple of no shave days for me, and today is another. I am actually feeling just a little under the weather today. I hope everyone has been having a great day, and I would like to say Merry Christmas to everyone.
  4. Merry Christmas to you and your family, Jim. I hope you feel better very soon.
  5. Gem Bullet Tip
    Gem Stainless 2
    Semogue 2000
    Stirling Rose M Bomb
    Soap Commander Love ASB

Since I get a low grade reaction to the Rose, I decided on a few drops of MBomb to liven it up. A nice bit of cooling, a great shave, followed by hit of the lightly mentholated rose asb.
  6. Message Christmas @PanChango.

  9. Just got an interesting E-mail from West Coast Shaving titled Shave Soaps vs. Shave Creams. It gave much preference to using soaps, but in the "Creams" section, their comments appeared contradictory, in a way. They say to stay far away from aerosol can creams, but then said if we must use them, make sure they have good cushion, moisturize well, and good glide, like Trumper DR Harrington, and TOBS. My immediate reaction was "Hey, Rise does all that, too!!".

  13. December 24

    Weber SS
    Astra SP (7)
    Simpson Chubby 2 Super
    MdC shave soap

Alum, Thayers Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Fine L'Orange Noir aftershave

I completed two passes plus a few touch-ups this morning for a very close Christmas Eve shave. The Astra SP blade lasted seven shaves, as did all the other Russian blades in my current rotation. The Chubby 2 whipped up mountains of MdC lather, and the Fine L'Orange Noir aftershave was a nice finish.

    Merry Christmas!
