I'll use a cream tomorrow and on Friday I'll give the Barbershop a much-deserved spin!

I look ahead to some good Stoylin use in the coming days. ...I'm going to test the Sandpiper A.S. w/Menthol in this brutal cold, then get going with the Spice. Stay tuned!

What a boo-boo I made for using that lousy Arko Moist cream. Back to the Stirling way of life tomorrow!

No, just that this cream is garbage. Yes, the lather is good but the scent is crummy and it leaves my skin feeling like it has no protection against dryness. Whenever I use anything Stirling my skin feels like it's been born again. That's the difference between cheap commercial crap and stuff that's made by an expert.

What a soap this Barbershop is - it's magnificent!

I think my new brush was too cold-hardly any loading was accomplished. I'll let it get warm, from all the shipping in the cold weather.

Well, maybe more TIGHT than cold.I don't know....For whatever reason, it hardly picked up any soap. This morning, anyway.

Did you wet it with some warm water first?

    blondblue Well-Known Member

I did..maybe not enough, since it's larger than my others.

    That’s weird, it’s a synthetic right?

Yes. I'll just see what happens next time, and wet it a little more with the warm water. My WSP Pure Badger bailed me out. (Sorry to mention another brand-name in this thread, but...kay sera sera.)

I’d soak it first then either squeeze some out or let it drip out

Thanks, I was thinking just that, to soak it for a few. It needs more water than just being under the tap.
