I switched out the handle on the SS General for the handle that came on my RazoRock Black Hawk. It makes the razor very top heavy. Still though, it delivered a DAMN FINE BABY BUTT SMOOTH three pass shave.

I was loading a new blade in my gold G-5 Injector and the handle shattered up by the razor head. Has anyone on here ever had to replace an Injector handle?.

Yes, totally do-able. I've swapped around a half dozen of them as of late.

The heads on Type E and G Schicks are simply pressed into the handle. Held in by friction alone.

I've got an unused Type G navy blue handle if you're in need. Drop me a PM, it's all yours if you need it.

Once again, the beautiful thoughtful generousity vibe, that makes this shaving brotherhood something really special raises it's head.....Congratulations gentleman on being hip enough to be involved in this...:happy096:

Thank you again pisces_0:, I truly appreciate your generosity. My vintage injector will live to do many more shaves.

Two Shaves in with this Razor which has to be my best purchase of 2017. Equipped with an AC blade it shaves smoothly and efficiently and yields an ultra close all round Shave without problems. Am tempted to say not only
is it my best Injector using a single blade, but it provides a Shave as good as the AC/SE razors that I have used.
Definitely a Razor I would reach for if in need of a special occasion Shave.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Soap Commander Renewal Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Frank Shaving Badger brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1911 Lather Catcher Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Thanks Fuzzy! :happy108:

Happy to see the Schick handle go to good use. Especially the navy blue version. They look SHARP on a gold head.

Is there a thread or further information as far as cross-loading some Proline blades into a Schick container? I've got some Proline to try out and have an empty Chick container to use for them.

I use a ball point pen or a screwdriver to hold down the spring in the Schick dispenser and load the new blades through the slot that they come out of when loading into an injector razor.

OK, lets call the dispenser I want to load the Pro-line blade into: "Dispenser A", and another dispenser that I will use just for a tool,"Dispenser B"

Dispenser A needs to have at least one blade in it. Dispenser B, it doesn't matter.

    1. Set Dispenser A down flat on a table, with the key pointing to the left....and pull the slide all the way back.
2.I then take the blade I want to load, carefully, in my left hand, edge facing me.
3.I then take Dispenser B in my right hand. And hold it above Dispenser A...I point the key of dispenser B, in my right hand, straight down.
    4. I then press the key of Dispenser B into the slot on the top of Dispenser A, on the side closest to the key...about 1/4" from the end.
    5. With the key of Dispenser B in that slot, I press the top blade down a little.
    6. While holding this top blade down, I slide the Pro-line blade with my left hand, into the slot where the blades come out of on Dispenser A...Being careful not to bugger up the edge, which is facing me, on the metal of dispenser A.
    7. After you have the Pro-line blade pushed in to where the key is holding the blades down. You stop.
    8. Now move Dispenser B, so the key is pressing down the back of the top blade in Dispenser A.
9.Now slide the Pro-line blade almost all the way in...
    10. Now take away dispenserB, and finish sliding the Pro-line blade, the rest the way in with just the nail or end of your thumb..

You are now ready to inject the Pro-Line blade into whatever razor you choose....or you can load more Pro-line blades into dispenserA...
This whole process takes about 10 or 15 seconds once you've done it and is very easy to do...

Now lets start loading those Pro-lines....lol.....ENJOY! I know you will!!!

So after pondering all day. I went with my favorite SE for my final shave of the year.
Razor: The New Ever Ready 1909
    Blade: Gem Carbon
    Soap: Williams Luxury soap
    AS: Aqua Velva

Finished off the year with a fantastic shave. I have only used a vintage blade in this bad boy until today. With a modern Carbon blade this is by FAR!!! my most aggressive SE. A VERY light touch and I was rewarded with a BBS to finish off the year.

May you all have a wonderful New Year.
