I would like to join in just to feel part of it. But I have no intention of sticking to it for a whole year so I'm out I have a strop being made currently which I will have to pay for in a couple of weeks, and yesterday I bought two soaps (which I admit i don't need) so technically I already lost!
Day 2 and all is well. I figure that I have enough of everything to last about 4 years so shouldn't be a problem for me. Be strong folks! You can do it!
Congratulations to those who have made it through 4 cold, dark days of no-buying so far in 2018! ;-) I just completed NB'17 and was contemplating making one purchase during that magical moment between 2017 and 2018, but I held firm and I'm feeling good about keeping this going for another year. Glad to be embarking on this quest with all of you!
Im going to try again. I made it a good chunk of the year until I decided to try a shavette, then it was all over. I really plan on simplifying things this year and will probably purge most of my kit. About the only thing I see myself buying is a puck of Stirling Electric Sheep when this one is used up. If the Rose didn't react with me, I would be good for the year. Aside from not buying anything, I am going to try and only use a micromatic this year. I have been good since November and don't really feel any need to change things up now. It is nice not having to worry about which razor or which blade I want to use today...
I wouldn't know -- I found it much cheaper to stop visiting there... now if I happen to trip over a Toggle in a local thrift shop or estate or garage sale, well, then all bets are off...
I thought about joining you disciplined folk, but I know unless I moved back to Africa, I wouldn't make it. Failure would've been on day 4. Stay strong you guys.
I'm going for a soap no-buy this year. My 50+ options should last me just fine. Razors in the wild? Fair game. Favorite aftershave runs out? Replacing. Non-favorite runs out? Letting it go. My goal is software reduction. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
