This is a lovely song from Zimbabwe by Oliver Mtukudzi which left me in tears. He sings in Shona, which I can understand quite well but I cannot really speak. "Ziwere" means "Ancestors" and the lyrics mean "Why did you abduct my child when I was absent from my house? Why did you break in to a poor man's house? Ancestors of mine, help me because this is a time of need for me."
Feeling melancholy....listening to some Warren Zevon..right now a rendition of Keep me In your heart by Eddie Vedder. I miss WZ...intelligent lyrics,a master of irony....ahhhh karp.
Went to see Ian Anderson in Atlanta a while back.He can still sing pretty good and the stuff he can't hit, well he has an understudy who is almost identical in voice who can.Been a Tull fan since 77 or so.
Wow, never heard these guys before a day or two ago. Kind of like Led Zep meets Rush in a garage band sort of way.
