Two shaves, and two days of blood. If that isn't the definition of Pain Stick, I don't know what is!

Edit: to me, they shave about the same, so I think they both fall into the Pain Stick category.

Yes. In fact, Jeeves has now renamed Turkish Bath -- and calls it Barbershop. Just like Private Study is now named Bay Rum, and Velvet Jacket is now Tobacco & Bay Leaf.

She is actually a very good singer and has perfect pitch I've heard. Snow bird was a monster hit.

    Tuesday January 2 - Jeeves

Gillette Aristocrat / Gillette Platinum Plus (6)
    Alluminati Envy White badger brush
Jeeves Private Study / Bay Rum
Alum and Jeeves Bay Rum splash

Enjoyable shave today. One pass DFS. Nothing much more to say.

I think I will stick with the Bay Rum for the rest of the week. I am not sure how many more days I will get out of this blade though.

She has also always sung songs that (a) had a recognizable tune and (b) lyrics that made sense...

Seriously? 11 pages in already? I just caught up on the December thread! I'm doing an unfocused focus again. I will read through and have more to say after. Happy New Year, gents!

It was&still is. About 5-10 people in the audience began yelling "SNOW..BIRD", before she sang it. Happily I joined in with the 5-10 to make it 6-11. With the brands of music we have today, Snowbird is a welcomed respite(IMO).

Learning to use my non-dominant hand for straights and shavettes was a challenge. Now I do it even with DEs. The good news is there is no muscle memory to get you your way with that hand to learn. The bad news is there is no muscle memory on that hand to help you. BBS with a DE or SE is usually attainable for me now. With straights and shavettes, I can't get one portion of both sides of my neck. If I have one with a fantastic edge (i.e. I didn't hone it,) I will sometimes catch the baby on my normal passes. I do a N/S, S/N, then my third pass is mouth to ear on my face, jaw, and outsides of my neck, N/S on the middle of my neck, and S/N on my chin and under my lip. This ends up being XTG on my jaw, cheeks, and outsides of my neck, ATG on the center of my neck and my chin and under my mouth. To get ATG on my trouble spots, I have to go from the side of the neck towards my apple, with just a bit of an angle. No problem with a razor on a handle, impossible for me with a straight or a shavette. Keep practicing with your off hand. About 20 shaves in, it should click.

Tomorrow, I'm combining Jeeves Bay Rum soap with Clubman Special Reserve A.S. An experiment, it will be.

A day and a half late and 250+ posts, shesh!

I have both of these 28mm and 30mm. The 28mm has more backbone and is very close in feel to my Simpsons CH2 synthetic. The 30mm splays a little more but is still a very dense knot.
