Good shave with the Gillette Rocket HD. First pass, did my cheeks with my straight. Then everything else was DE. Two full passes with touch ups left me BBS. Decided for the first time in months to go TOBS cream - I was worried this would cause issues but it gave plenty of protection.

Wasn't confident enough to just post this edit but I like it, so pictures cap both ends of my post today. Enjoy your shaves and the rest of your day :D

Another fine shave from the Pacific combo. This razor/blade, being so inexpensive, really works for me. It's crazy how this shaving thing works. Anyway, my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

    Wow!

Where's the Tabac blade and maybe even razor? Send them this picture and get them commissioned.

This pic doesn't do the Paladin justice. It's stunning in person, and a terrific knot. The Muhle continues to impress!

    Soap - Lemonmelon
    Post - witch hazel lavender
    A/s - Florida water

    Fantastic shave.

I initially started the shave with a different soap but lack of a good lather I had to switch. My opinion of badgers and hard soap remains the same.... too hard to get a good lather for me using them together. I need the stiffer bristles of a boar to get the soap off the puck. If not it’s just foamy with no slickness and it doesn’t thicken up.

Thank you so much! I'm so proud of it - I had no real intention of starting with straights, but I saw it on a BST on another UK based forum and just had to buy it! :love029:

Today's shave was with a German made Extra Hollow Ground razor. I had a 2 pass shave, that left me BBS, with minor touch-ups under the chin. This isn't the prettiest razor in the bunch, but it sure is one of the sharpest. I'm thinking of a re-scale on this one. The cheap plastic ones are cracking, brittle, and leave the blade loose. This one was a "Hail Mary" of a razor, for a few bucks, but turned into one of the finest shaving ones I have. It deserves better scales.

Razor- J.A.Henckels 74. Zwillings Werk, Solingen Germany.
    Brush- B400 By Tom(@twhite )
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice. Ships Lantern.
