Well, then, let me say this: Great overall barbershop shave (Lucky Tiger is used in many). By the way-unrelated to shaving-my local paper reports the phrase "Let me as you this" as being "out of style" for this year. I can have fun with this by walking up to the locals and saying "Allow me to ask you this" lol. (I'm a stickler for communication style usage. Like shaving, I go vintage if I want to-it'll blow away the trendy freaks!!).

Great photo Doug. We have been just creeping above freezing for the last several days. I don't know how you guys do it. I am ready to move to somewhere warmer.

Thanks very much Clint. It's only a few months that we get cold weather.

Its my opinion that aftershaves don't have to exactly match the soaps. My colognes don't always match my aftershaves either, and I use a Rose scented witch hazel every shave as well. I enjoy varied scents, and it part of what makes wetshaving so enjoyably for me. I hope you enjoy both. Be sure to let us know. Any chances of some shave of the day pictures coming up, since your den is getting more populated?

Little late to the party today:
    Stunning pic again, Clint.
Nice combo, Perry. That ‘49 is just a great knot.
Sounds like a fantastic shave, John.
    There he is! Always smiling.
    Great photo.
-39? We rarely get anything close to that here anymore, Doug. -4C today and for the next few days. Was -20C last week, though.

    Hello everyone!

Wow, 29 pages of posts in the first 5 days of the month. Awesome! :happy088:

My Bride and I just returned from a 10-day trip to Israel. We went on a guided tour with a group from our church. Our tour days began at 7:30 am and ended around 5:30 pm. The first and last days were travel days, as the trip takes about 24 hours with airport layovers. One of our travel mates counted his foot steps, and the group logged almost 40 miles of walking! There were lots of steps and uneven paths. We even descended a mountain trail upon which the ancient fortress Masada was built. We traveled by plane, bus, foot, boat, cable cable car, and camel. "Firsts" for me were the cable car and the camel. :)

Our trip was a blast, and it opened our eyes in many ways. Tourism is big business in Israel. We felt safe and welcomed everywhere we went. We even spent some time in the West Bank, and we drove along the borders of Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. The weather was mostly mild. A light jacket and even short pants on a couple of days were sufficient. The food was great, and we got to try a lot of new things. We ate a lot of chicken, lamb, breads, vegetables, fresh fruits, yogurts, and hummus. The deserts were very good, but not overly sweet.

Because time was short, my shaves consisted of the five-minute variety using a Dorco disposable, brushless shave cream, and unrefined shea butter. I'd rate them all as nice, clean shaves.

I'm still recovering from yesterday's big travel day home. I plan to join in during the next couple of days and continue my Russian Blade focus for the month.

Thanks Clint. It was a fantastic trip, but I'm glad to be home. My Bride promptly thawed out some leftover Christmas sausage balls this morning. :)

Still not managing well on doing pics. Just got an I-phone a few weeks ago, and am learning THAT. By the way, a few shakes of the BR AS and it became less clovey and more MANLY. (Although I'm sure there is SOME clove around-kinda like Stephan, the only other By Rum I've tried).

It was actually colder here today than it was at the North Pole. Only by a couple of degrees, but still that was cold.
