I'll bring both my Coopers out this morning . I have not yet bothered with a punch with the three piece as pressing the blade on has always worked ok. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
A very leisurely shave with two Coopers. The three piece being hollow handled is considerably lighter and you can see head geometry is not identical. In shaving the feel is quite different, the Monobilt feels milder and much more sensitive to angle. In terms of results, they're close enough, personally I prefer shaving with the three piece as it allows me to be lazier about angle and delivers great results. I use tungsten putty in the three piece to give it a little more heft. Fresh Nacet in both. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Cool that there are variations in the handles. Wonder if that designates the period of manufacture. Herm
I have a mono-bilt that has a problem. The hinge side of the head has been bent/damaged and I can't get the blade in correctly. Afraid to try repairs as it will probably do more damage. A shame really as I would like to try it out.
Yeah I ran out and got one soon after he posted that . Haven't been disappointed Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
I'm goin to try out the 3-piece tomorrow. I saw online that if you just tighten down the head the small difference in the fit doesn't matter. Guess I'll find out. Herm
Looks like there was a gold Cooper also. This head is slightly different than mine. Note the center stub is not diamond shaped. Makes me wonder if I used a different top cap.
I scored a Monobilt in rural Amish Ohio for around $12. I’ll pull it out tomorrow. Any blade suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
