I have not seen it. So far I have not tried any of the new stuff. That does not mean I will not.

 

BULLY!!!!! I have a bottle of KMF. I love it but the pump will clog up. I know of which you are speaking of here.

Just for the record I used a STD-301 in a P-1 Super Adjustable today. Managed to get a little nick on my ear. Probably will not show that video. Lol. Great shave though to be honest!!

January 5- Fatboy Friday

It's Fatboy Friday so the 195 comes out with the Sharp Star. The Wolf and Jeeves for the lather win and two passes and touch ups for the near BBS. Fine way to go into the weekend. Hope yours is a great One!

If I do not do a ATG pass I can not catch the baby. My beard grows fast and my whiskers are tough, if I do a ATG pass without enough reduction I get allot of irritation. I do a 4 pass shave, WTG, XTG, XTG opposite direction then ATG. I actual get less irritation doing four passes than doing 2 or 3 because I shave more aggressive when doing fewer passes.

Finishing stone tournament round 2

For round I selected 2 J West razors with similar grinds and styles, there both about 1/2 hollow and handle similarly.

The Shapton finished razor was rough, actually I think it was user error on my part, this razor has always taken a fantastic edge. The edge was not horrible but below expectations. The Gokumuyo 20 razor was super smooth and sharp. This round goes to the G20 stone with easy. The score is now tied, 1-1.

My first pass is always with the grain. That is N/S for cheeks and S/N. Neck. The big ole honking chin I have is kinda every which way. After that I do an across the grain all over in which ever direction that takes. I finish up with a witch hazel pass that is generally a buffing type thing mostly with the grain. I never go against the grain. For me that just risk not feeling as good after the shave.

BBS is a myth. Why bother with something that is gone in a few hours. I get a DFS++ regularly with this routine. I try to never over think shaving.
