I just saw a picture of an NOS version of our Le Grelots... and those scales were amazing. Mine, on the other hand, suck. They even ground off one side of the pivot pin in preparation for removal... looks like I will get a chance to finish the job!
One last spin in these scales... Razor: F. Herder 77 Brush: Razorock Extra Chubby Silvertip Badger Soap: Stirling Orange Chill (added to Electric Sheep which was added to SDM) A/S: Fine L’Orange Noir Enjoy your shave! Tom
I love the middle earth look. I guess since your razors are all packed you had no choice to but to buy them so you have something to shave with.
Prep: Hot water, b&bw lavender and sandalwood body oil massage Soap: Stirling Barbershop Razor: Dovo Bismarck 6/8 Brush: RR Synthetic Post: Hot water rinse followed by cold water rinse. Aftershave: Witch hazel/Nivea face cream topped off with Grey Flannel AS & EDC
5/8 Spear L&L Grooming homemade brush Great shave this morning. The razor was taken all the way back and finished on a Charnley Forest. The soap gave a great post shave feel which I need during the winter months. I spend to much time in the wind at subzero temps. The Spear is a Peter J.Michels razor (I think distributed by him, not necessarily made by him but I'm unsure). At any rate, whenever I see his name on a razor I'll pick it up. Seems like they make excellent shavers. Have a good one.
