Nomad cream whips up easily, has a great scent and is a top performer. I hate to use it since it’s no longer in production.

    Face Shave (2 days growth):
Pre-shave: hot shower and Nivea Men Sensitive Face Wash
    Brush: RazoRock Plissoft Synthetic
    Cream: TOBS Jermyn Street
    Razor: Magic by Master Barber
    Blade: Derby (2)
Post-shave: Dickinson's Original WH, Mont Blanc Legend PS Balm, Mont Blanc Legend EdT

    Head Shave (2 days growth):
    Razor: Gillette Tech
    Blade: Feather (3)

Today I did one pass with the shavette on the face. I again used the weak hand to do a N > S shave on the left face. I'm still not ready to try the weak hand on the throat or a shave other than N > S. Since I had the Gillette Tech loaded and ready for a head shave I did a clean-up pass on my neck with the Tech. I came away with a DFS on my face.

I moved on to do the head shave and after a single pass with some clean up I ended up with a close comfortable shave on my scalp.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Sounds like a great cream. I have the C&E Lime cream the girls gave me for Christmas. Oh the Nomad Cream was renamed Moroccan Myrrh.

Great looking photo and lineup Dan. You are really making progress with the shavette.

    Prep: Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick Proline B20
    Razor: Schick G4 '66' injector
    Brush: Stirling Kong synthetic
    Soap: Stirling Scots Pine Sheep
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Ozark Mountain aftershave, Stirling Glacial Unscented balm
    WTG, XTG

Back to the Schick 66 and the Proline blade as part of my blade focus. Rigid blade that is sharp and efficient. Really enjoyable shave overall. After three shaves with the Proline blade I am convinced it's a winner. As @Bird Lives stated in the Injector and SE Party thread: Proline blades are the most exciting thing to happen to injectors in 40 years! They really seem to be that good.

Still working on this sample of Scots Pine Sheep soap. It's terrific stuff. I put a tiny bit of water directly on top and start loading with the dry Kong brush. Add water directly to the soap and keep loading. I added a little to the brush but 95% of the water I added was directly on top of the soap. Then keep swirling and loading. That method, as odd as it seems, makes well-hydrated, slick, shiny lather.

Overall a great shave (and a wordy report....pardon me). Have a great weekend everyone!

I was actually telling Perry a story earlier, in the winter of ‘95-96, I was a propane truck delivery dude. We had been having record -50’s for days (nights), and I was reloading at about 2-3 in the morning cause we had been going 24 hours a day, and the radio lady came on and said that “it’s -106 with the wind chill, so if you are outside, go in or else you gonna die...” I was just a kid then, didn’t even have a kid of my own yet, and winter seemed easy. Even the bad ones. Now I just want out.

The Moroccan Myrrh is still in production. Unfortunately, the shave soap is not functional. I had a tub of C&E soap that was excellent, and then I understand it was reformulated. I got another tub of the new formula, in Moroccan Myrrh, and could not get a functional lather from it. I have seen lots of posts that seem to say the same thing.
Have not tried it in cream form.

So due to oversightus/head straight up the assus of the people I work for, I am stuck out of town for the weekend. And “red-assed”. Which is a pipeline term which leads to another term called “going wobbly”. As in “That Red Assed SOB is going wobbly on us. Better cut him his money and send him on his way. “

Been outside in below zero and windy for days, which means it’s too damn cold to shave, so my off time, what little I’ve had has been devoted to Makers Mark and country music. So for my last couple days pics, let me show you the two best country music albums ever.....

Said that right. BBS is a unicorn in my den. My skin appreciates this kind of arrangement. I can get my neck close, but the closer to the unicorn I get, the more irritation.
