Are there any Star Brush owners out there?

Beautiful. If you decide to pass it on holla at da Fuzzy one. It would pair nice with a Star SE!!

    This one was neat.
The ferrule unscrewed from the base AND was completely hollow.

Is that one of the handles that is filled with plaster?

Have used it a few times. But first Shave getting a picture of my Star Bush. I believe it has the original knot. Seems like it's cased Boar Bristles, surrounded by Badger, all ready broken in well. Is accompanied by my Star DE with hex handle.

Nice brush. Do you believe the handle is made of one or two pieces? If two, do you believe the ferrule was attached by screwing it into the base or pressure and adhesive? If one piece, is it a shell filled with wire plaster?

I think it's made of two separate pieces. I really can't tell if it's screwed together, or pressed and glued. The two pieces are still securely together and I'm not going to try to separate them unless necessary. For now everything is all intact and usable. However I do think I see glue residue in between the two, but it's anyone's guess if they are screwed or pressed together...

But I do not think it's plaster filled...

Just acquired this persian jar-style Star 6511 with original knot (which appears to be silvertip). She cleaned up nice, and will be going into my rotation soon. Very happy to have found this beaut of a brush! Any ideas of the age of this brush? Thanks!
