Is sittIng while shaving really a thing? I just read an article about it. It says it a allows for a better shave. More relaxing a better and more stable platform while shaving. I am not sure about this, my first thought that is kinda like (man) squatting while you pee????
Big nope. I don't have bar stools at my sink, nor am I going to bring one in the bathroom for that sole purpose. Absolutely no reason for this. If you can't relax standing, then you have more of a problem than simply sitting to shave will fix.
And what mirror do they suggest? -- Pitralon forever - Real pens have a nib - If it doesn't tick, it's not a watch.
I have severe back problems and several other issues. I use my shower stool to sit on while I shave. I wouldn't be able to stand there long enough to shave due to the pain. I can understand the masculine mindset that makes sitting down while shaving seem distasteful, but for some of us, standing up while shaving is not an option. I got hurt in a very manly fashion. I fought off two very large carjackers and they almost killed me. So I have no compunction about sitting down while shaving. I earned that seat.
Usually if I'm sitting in the bathroom, I could see reading a magazine, but not shaving. I can't see the mirror from that seat.
I sat at a picnic table to shave when I was camping. Water heated over a campfire, fresh cup of coffee, and the first morning light coming through the trees. I can honestly say it was a relaxing shave! Just a shame I was still using carts and canned goo...
Indeed! My dad also sat at the picnic table when we were camping as kids. He was a "real" wetshaver though -- Pitralon forever - Real pens have a nib - If it doesn't tick, it's not a watch.
Honestly, if I could re-design the vanity area with a small cut out area to keep a chair closer to the mirror, wouldn't be a bad idea at all.
