My first wild find of the year. Hope it is not the best find this early in the year. A NOS Kobar seven day of the week set. Start the year of on a high note
Very nice haul. I have a question ... why does it have two men in suit coats, bumping bellies? BTW I know very little about straights and their brands.
Thank you gentlemen. It was a exciting find The German beer belly bump. It evolved into the more gentile fistbump
Some new injector blades. I have not tried these before. First I will go with the repeating razors. I hand load those so I don't need the key. 20 blades for $10 bucks is a pretty good deal. I think they will be good blades.
This is a flea market find from last weekend. A 8 inch Washita and a 9 inch Coticule. The Ark is autographed by one of its owners. I will make a case to the Coti and cut off the damage to make a same stone rubber. I love the dirt mall
Whoa. If that were my best find of the year I would not be disappointed. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
I just got in a small razor lot from eBay consisting of: - A Gold/Brass Gem MMOC - A Nickel Gem MM Clog Pruf - A Thin-Cap OT (1918 vintage according to the serial number) - An NDC Gold Tech head on a partial Ball-End New handle Pictures later when I finish cleaning up the two MicroMatics; both had a fair amount of green and required a good soak and some oil to get the doors working right. The OT is in surprisingly good shape with just some plate loss and verdigris on the handle. The Tech head looks like it was hardly ever used. (I suspect that, back in the day, someone bought it just to switch handles with their New LC.) One oddity... The MMCP came with a blade in it that I had never seen before. It was a standard Gem-type SE blade, but labelled "Eversharp" on one side and "Krona Edge" on the other. I never knew that Eversharp made SE blades. Anybody else ever see one before?
Two surprises today at an unlikely store. A late '50s Old Spice mug with an unused puck of soap and what appears to be a Barbershop Old Fashioned Luxury razor and brush stand (with brush only). No logo on the stand or the brush but the shape is the same as the BOFL so I'm guessing whoever made these marketed them plain to somebody (but I could be completely wrong). Actually, at first, I thought it was an Old Spice rack until I got home and looked up some photos for comparison. Anyhow, a nice little treat for all of 10 bucks. A little bath to remove some serious dust and we will be good to go.
Monday I received a box from PAA containing: Dapper Doc Natural Deodorant Lime Ginger Tea Tree Natural Deodorant Clubguy Honey & Cider Vinegar Pre-Shave Soap Dappalwood - Secret Menu Mash-Up Shave Soap! The Phoenix Starling Single Edge, GEM Type RazorI will be trying many of these new items out tomorrow. Steve
A find today at a antique store. Have not been there in a while so time to stop. The case was closed inside a display showcase, asked to see it, and they asked me " you want to see the cigarette case". Opened it up and found a 1930 New Big Boy Chromium De Luxe. As a added bonus the blade bank contained original 1930 Deluxe blades. The razor is in low milage condition, Very clean, no plate loss and the knurling is sharp.
Walked into a antique mall today and grabbed this Coticule and Belgium Blue Waterstone. Both are in good shape and decent size stones. Now I just need to learn to use them ;-) I put the imperial in the picture for a size reference. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
