I am really enjoying this week with everything just working so well together. Once again the General delivered a drama free near perfect 3 pass shave. A splash of Fine Platinum and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Nice and easy shave this morning with this setup. I finished off the sample of Scots Pine Sheep. I got 13 shaves from it. Really enjoyed trying out the sheep base and would certainly use that soap again. On the other hand I'm glad to have finished it off so I can move on to other soaps.

All came together nicely. Let's go have a great day!

 

It is certainly possible. It may even be a little miraculous, yes, but I have witnessed the Williams work just fine. Further evidence from @sdguero and @wchnu is available. Perhaps we need it on video from someone for posterity.

Great set up, Perry! I don't have one of the textured G4, but I think they are one of the best looking Injectors.

 

Thank you, Jim! I have wanted one of those injectors for a while and Andrew set me up. It's quite the looker!

 

I am starting to wonder if I need to give Williams another try. I PIFed away all my Williams a while ago, but there is a local drug store that carries it. I need another puck of soap about as bad as I need a hole in my head, but now I am feeling like I have some unfinished business with Williams.

 

I would certainly look into it. My wife has been wanting to do a trip up to Branson for a bit, this might be a natural extension.

This shave started a bit different for me. Lately, as my MWF puck is dwindling, it is shedding pieces as I load my brush. Today, I decided to take a chunk and rub it on my face instead of loading my brush. This worked fairly well, but as I can be a creature of habit, I didn't get the lather quite like I really want it. It was certainly slick enough, just not my best Fat lather. The first pass and 99% of the second pass went smoothly. I was just a bit rushed this morning, and as I was finishing up on my chin, I let go of my skin stretch at the same time I was coming across with the razor. A few years ago, when things were a bit tighter, this may have been OK. This morning, though, I have a little flap of skin just below my lip. It bled fairly well, but some styptic pencil closed it up. Complete carelessness on my part. The rest of the shave was so good, and I actually caught the baby. It's a shame I screwed it up in the end. Some Fine Platinum made up for it, though. I hope everyone has a great day!

I'm interested. August would work well for me, although any month will with enough notice. I like Keith's barbecue suggestion -- good barbecue places are rather thin on the ground up here.

 

After my first use of Clubman Reserve Gent's Gin A.S. ., I have to say I'm not sure a full review can be done until I use it in concert with different soaps&creams/foams. This morning I used it following Stoylin Barbershop Shave Soap. I didn't quite get the "cool/chill" sensation I was expecting, based on other comments&suggestions that it's best for use in warm weather. It does provide for a dolphin-smooth facial feel, which is great, of course. I didn't get much of that "gin" fragrance, but again maybe that would come out more with a lower-scent soap/cream than the Stoylin Barbershop(which has that wonderful scent and feel that Stoylin fans know). There are many alternative soaps I can see combining it with. Upon first use, I believe it could be used in any type of weather with the exception of frigid single-digit temperatures, such as the Northeast just experienced. Thus, this review will continue, with use of different soaps/creams, and changing weather conditions.

 

Fuzzy, can you post one or two on here? It may help win over some converts in your quest for domination.
